I was last active there (Audionews) in 2013... recently I remembered and checked if I was still registered, and yes. The second thing I saw was that I could generate two invite codes. Is this still of interest to anyone these days? If so, let me know.
AN is great for when things are removed from sister site and/or hosting sites. Just be careful. If you invite someone who gets their account banned, you might lose your account.
Thanks for the Info! Without, i did not make that. lose my Account=Not dramatic but very clear, i generelly want protect the site and not move anyone to theire site who is banned. So i proove this first, if...
they have very much loosened up the old rule of being responsible for who you invite. If you invite someone who spams or uploads malware, you might have a problem. If you invite people who get banned consistently, or invite yourself to do some "drive-bys" it might get you into hot water too. But you cannot be expected to babysit other peoples' ratio statistics. Tell them to stick to the front page instead of searching, give a link to the few ratio related threads on the forum; and they should not be your problem anymore. If you don't trust someone enough to give them an invite, registration is open without an invite every 2nd day of the month. I don't know the exact timing of it, but if you issue invites; when they are gone it will just automatically give you more of them. They can still be pretty strict, but about more important things.
When the alternative is Youtube randos who cannot even create a structured tutorial because they have the same attention span as their viewer base; I'll take a real tutorial from a knowledgable source who actually makes music any day of the week.
The codes are taken! I spontaneously changed my mind and simply trusted my heart. Audionews has thousands of members, and anyone could join with a different nickname. Of course, like on HQ FTPs before, they could (only in reverse) pin IP addresses. But all of this is their admins' responsibility, as long as you don't deliberately help untrusted people join. I could have spoken to "Krapan" or three others there immediately. I won't. They should hire another one just for this nonsense, if it's a real thing. Nonsense, because it's not mentioned anywhere. The best way to make sense would be to note this in my "invite code part". If someone contacted me for whatever reason, I would say, "You're out of control; everything worked for me." But that doesn't happen because I take the EXACT REVERSE approach. I'll quickly check out the two users HERE (what's the content of their PMs, do they have any Points as trophys, are they get warnings here, Have they been here for several years... in short: Does it all make sense? It's enough for me, even if I don't know them directly, but I do know AudioZ 1000x better than AN. Thanks anyway, and THREAD CLOSED
