Never heard of it and hadn't noticed it before. It's crazy that you remember, because when I was done, I still saw bits like "Wrong Link" in the call stack. After some tracing, I was JUMPing to "Wrong Link" or just "LINK" (it will be a *.txt file). Then I found calls that referenced it, and the compare to it (in the sense of debugging) is "...CLIPBOARD" - I think that's what he meant somehow - and just out of pure interest, I'll check it out one of these days (I had something like that once, at Izotope, it was basically a SLOT-O-MAT that always spit out valid pairs, and back then you could add them on the HD or in the REGISTRY (no idea if it still works haha) and it worked great, but nobody got it. I sent "Chaos" at least 13 PMs, and he got angry, lol. I think your buddy might have had something similar with "Clipboard..." how ever thx, without your lines i didnt had notice this as i was done. *IF it is is what it seems to be*

Great work! But, how did you force resize the GUI to make it so small, making the script button accessible?

I believe the idea with that is that the the script is in the system memory and somehow copyable regardless of protections.

This is what worked when I had a play (no password required)

 

Oh strange. Clicking the button here does absolutely nothing because it's covered by a slider.

 

Any screenshot? I'm using Kontakt 8 (Latest Portable v8.6.0 Rev2) and I opened Kontakt 8 in DAW (Cubase). Maybe different when actually installing Kontakt (by the other teams), I'm really not sure then.

 

I'll test the version you mentioned. On the version I have installed there is a hidden (by blank .png) slider that completely blocks the script button from being pressed. This is a common tactic to lock scripts. Clicking any mouse button anywhere in that area does nothing. That's why I was so surprised you were able to open it so easy.

I'm going to test the portable version you mentioned.

Here is the unskinned GUI, you can see the slider covering the button on the bottom left. You can test this by renaming or moving the "MKS-2000.nkr" and hitting the "!" button to refresh the GUI.

 

Junior Compact Stage Pianos (CSP) also shows Licensed to Free | CPF: 000.000.000-00 at the bottom but works OK without bypassing

Even if I click on the symbol to the right of
[Edit___#] that works too.

I hope Portable works for you or I can send all the script in notepad.exe if you like by messages here.

Edit: Also Edit button works OK in Portable opened outside of DAW with DAW closed

I purposely did that for testing purposes. It makes it easy for seeing anything hidden in the GUI.

The Danilov 8.6.0 Rev2 is apparently modified so that it shows the "Edit" button regardless of protection. I'm looking at the script now.

 

I see... nice one, glad it worked, not sure what all the 'you_are_my_fan' is all about or any of the rest but funny. Good Luck to you both

OK, so I've taken a quick look at the script. I can't say that I've 100% figured out the issue, but I've gotten it to work. If anyone wants to test it, send me a PM.
