If you listen to his mixed music and don't know who he is, you'll quickly determine whether he's good at his job or not.

He came out on YouTube, and now every viewer can form their own opinion about what mental illness he suffers from or is impaired by. Perhaps it's just a character flaw or delusions of grandeur. Without a medical report, we're not in a position to judge; perhaps he's a great person with a few weaknesses. Perhaps he'll soon realize it himself and delete the video. Or he'll continue to ruin his good reputation and soon find himself unemployed.

 

Yeah, I'm not trying to diagnose him with anything, but delusions of grandeur is a more accurate assessment than what I said.

AP Mastering's personality reminds me of many YouTube political commentators.

In the End, I will back anyone who puts their money where their mouth is. I've been following him for a while, and his interface tests are really good. The Plugin game is full of nonsense shitfuckery preying on the eye candy of gear lust.. Props to him and guys like Dan Worrell for exposing this shit and making a useful tool like Delta Expose and Plug in Doctor.

Dan Worrall is great. Even better he's not an egomaniac trying to sell me a buggy compressor.

The plugin industry is definitely full of bullshitters. Thank god we get to try the stuff out on the sister site, otherwise I would have never discovered the amazing tools made by ToneBoosters.

 

It's funny you say that...it is almost like the princess kissing 1,000 frogs to find one prince.
If everyone went through every plugin they have and without being unwilling to let go of any, asked themselves, if they had to do something urgently at high quality, which plugins would they reach for? - They would find they have more plugins than they thought collecting dust.
If someone said to anyone "You are only allowed to keep only one plugin of each type" - Most people would have their plugins to well and truly under 40, more likely under 15 (Not instruments and not including stock plugins that come with the DAW).

 

I have heard most of my life people say how this or that plugin is soo much better that this or that. So that someone takes the time to test and proves that most of it is just not true is great. I don't care about his work or his personality. I care about what he brings to the table. I don't understand why so many in this thread are focusing on the man and not the ball. Who cares about his personality or what he believes. Care about what he demonstrates.
