I just heard the the trailer music for Stranger Things season 5. It's a cinematic rendering of Deep Purple's Child In Time. It fits the criteria of series very well but I still prefer the original versions on Made In Japan and Deep Purple In Rock. What made the originals so good was Jon Lord's organ and Ian Gillan's voice both of which are hardly used on this version. Worth a listen though.

In Voices from the Darkside, the music of The Nefilim was presented as a more metallic version of McCoy's activities with Fields of the Nephilim.

    The Nefilim - Penetration

Garden of Delight singer Michael M. Jung actually sounds like this:

Is it all a question of distortion and the settings of the voice effects device...?

I'm off on one of those, eh, "distant" moods again, which means minimal techno works for me:

Norwegian Prog Rock band Leprous taking on a challenge to do a unique version of aha's Take On Me. Interesting how they put each part together. The final arrangement starts at around 11 minutes.
