    Hi there,
I'm fairly new to synthesis and I'm very interested in creating the bass sound heard at 1:18 of this track :

To me it sounds like a Roland Alpha Juno and I'd like to recreate the sound on the hardware version if possible. Can someone point me in the right direction on how to program it?

    Thanks!

could also be a Novation Bass Station? Or even the Super Bass Station?

It also sounds a bit like Reese Bass to me?

Not sure, there's also the typical hoover and another sound which is fairly easy to recreate on the AJ, so I'm guessing the bass was also done on the same synth. I don't own a Bass Station unfortunately :(

you could use GForce Bass Station, its pretty similar to the hardware. trial should do for the moment.

Owner and big lover of the Alpha Juno 1 here... from the sonic characteristics I'd also say it is very possible it was created on it. I have the synth in the studio and not available at home, so I can't check out right now.

Do you have the vst TAL-PHA? It is possible to programm the hardware on it and also there are many presets available. Also "vintage" ones, which have been used during the rave era.

It might be based on the OG hoover (patch called "what the"), but the sweep is shorter. As a basis you could try the PWM-saw waveform..

[EDIT] ... in combination with the sub oscillator of course...

Well the higher hoover sounds like an Alpha Juno to me, and the latter lower bass thing does sound like the sub oscillator on the same. Whether it's the same sound with some oscillators switched on/off on the fly or if it's two different sounds I can't tell. Or even a different synth, but I sounds like a square wave with PWM set to 25-33% duty cycle.

    *edit*: typos and grammer

Actually it sounds a bit like the Lord Acidious preset on Redominator (played at note C3) :)
