Hi!! I have an old demo track pre-1990 that was recorded on a Tascam Porta One 4-Track Cassette. We (me and Ben Z) nearly got signed to Sire Records, and this song may have been the single. Sadly, it all fell apart. We're left with this crusty track that shows some promise, but there are issues beyond recording quality . . . my vocals are off-key in a few places. The MIDI bass is also very boring, but that's another story. ;-)

Any fellow AudioSex Forum Members up for a little challenge of pulling out the vocals, tuning them to D Major, de-essing, then cleaning up the track a bit, and combining it all back together?

I'm disabled, unemployed, and rehabbing . . . so sadly (and hopefully not insultingly) asking this for free as a favor. I tried it myself, but it didn't come out that great.

Wow, thanks so much. Your remix is definitely more balanced, cleaner, and spacial. Did you break into stems or do this through EQ/mastering/de-noising? If broken into stems, I know how to tune the vocals and could fly it back to you. Much appreciated!!!

 

my pleasure - working on a big project with much worse original recordings at the moment, so little effort from me on this one. PM me and, I can send you the stems with and without fx.

 

Also try to pumping it up (bit to much) in today, also have made stems (then i fall in to sleep to the Sound... Now i add somm Hall, typical Roomthing... that also brings a lot (Artefarkts etc) you doesnt really hear it, so the second File is only the Added-Hall any other Dynamics \ FX muted. i give it a better try these Days, mean your focus on voicetranspose\ desser etc. i have the fealing at some parts it sound to much as LIVE Song than as a Studio Recording. AND im not joking i am a "Megamixer" and i feeled animated start megamixing with The Clash, Sique Sique Sputnik etc *g*
