I don't have any problems regarding size on my 27" Dell 4K monitor with v5.4.3 (runs in retina mode on Mac OS X ) so I believe I' gonna stick to it .
Charging customers for such a small incremental upgrade such as window resizing , it's disgrace ...

 

Not worth it, honestly. I'd rather keep the cool free plugin than exchange it + pay $19 for a basic quality of life feature and a bunch of presets I will never use. Lol, tf update is this.

I come down with iLok-jaw and can't be moved to buy this stuff....that and sleeping on scalability until 2025 is laughable, but not in a funny ha ha sort of way. I hope someone cracks the shit outta this thing (not a request) for an instant taste test.

 

You think you've a basic understanding of the universe, but then:
- Kontakt developers learn how to make vst3 versions
- Soundtoys developers learn how to make resizable versions
And nothing makes sense anymore...

 

Ah just a quick tip:
"Resizable GUI" is not really resizable...because you can only switch between %, 50%, 75%, 100%, 150%, 200%
So it is not a "grab & hold & feel free to resize" there are variable predefined sizes

Anyway just the fresh Effect Rack Presets are worth the $19 upgrade
For those who are new to SoundToys the latest complete bundle is available for $279 instead of $499
I think even PluginBoutique has its SoundToys discount maybe even cheaper

 

@PartyShit Not sure why your not seeing this but all the plugins apart from Effect Rack are freely resizable via the bottom right hand corner, at least on PC they are. However totally agree about the pre-sets for effect rack, they are worth the $19 on their own. Its amazing the texture and warmth, a spot of mild distortion, some delay and a bit of reverb can conjurer up. The Effect Rack just oozes Pro sound design and Space Blender is an awesome addition to it.

 

Bought the bundle, I think it's worthy for the price.

 

Hey, I’ve got news! This info comes straight from Soundtoys themselves.

First of all, the upgrade offer ($19) won’t remove Spaceblender, you’ll still have access to it after upgrading to 5.5.

Secondly, you can access the update just by downloading the individual installers, no payment required. Here’s the link: https://storage.googleapis.com/soundtoys-download/download.html

I've tested it and it works, I have resizable plugins now (finally). I don't plan on buying the upgrade anytime soon but it isn't as bad as I thought it was and I think I should let yall know about it. Have fun.

That pic doesn't explain much as we don't know what you previously had....(package version? individual plugs? etc... doesn't look like you had much from what I'm seeing outside of a promo Little Plate and Little Radiator or whatever perhaps....)

I had full last version 5.4.3 etc, and updated from their links to the more latest (5.5.2) version. Didn't have to pay for anything. Not sure what I'm missing however.

 

I do believe the original Soundtoys coders are long gone?

 

At the very bottom of it, they mention if all you want is the resizable GUIs there is a way to get that for free. Which seemed to be the biggest complaint from everyone, just paying for a feature that should exist long before 2025. https://www.soundtoys.com/resizable-uis-are-here/

I agree with all that, and I got it for 'free', and I have the SpaceBlender plug (and apparently a lot of presets regarding/including it) with the latest update, (as well as the scalable/resizable updates that one wouldn't expect reasonably to pay for at this point).

I just don't know what I'm NOT getting for paying $19usd you know?

(and I haven't read their latest faq in the link provided, but when I looked yesterday, it said that "individual" plugs were provided as purchased with updates, but not if one had the package (which I do), but then I noticed last night that the package was sitting there in my update box and voila.

edit add: just checked the link you provided, which I have looked at before, and it says:

but all my legit installed plugins from them are listed as v5.5.2 etc, and I didn't have to pay the money. And seem to have additional presets etc, so that is where my confusion lies.

It actually is not. They do not explain the difference between getting the 5.5.2 update for free verses paying $19usd for it. clearly. at all.

 

Yeah, it's no clear at all, I decided to download the Effect Rack from the single installer repository and was baffled to find out that it has all the new presets and Space Blender integration. So I have no idea, I guess the only thing they're offering is the single bundle installer. Really odd... kinda misleading. Also the Effect Rack isn't fully resizable like the single plugins.
