What bundle do you have currently tzzsmk? Did you get SpaceBlender for free a few months ago? Or update to SuperPlate?

I have 5.4.3 and SpaceBlender (promo) and it's $19.

 

Paying for plugin updates is something that I'll never accept. I got SpaceBlender for free and that's how it's going to stay for as long as it works. Once it doesn't, it goes straight to the trash. Even if it was $1, that's still too much.

Yes it is, mostly for the integration of space blender in to the rack and the 67 new patches...

 

Did you download the space blender when it was free?
Resync worked for me it went from $49 to $19 and what changed in the account after the sync was it said I was exchanging Soundtoys v5.4 AND space blender for Soundtoys 5.5. Whereas before it was saying that I was exchanging Soundtoys v5.4 for Soundtoys v5.5.
To me that seemed that exchanging a free program and Soundtoys v5.4 was worth more than Soundtoys v5.5. So maybe in this case Free is worth more than Free, it seems to be worth $30.

As for the update - I will give them the $19 for this but I maintain what Ive been saying for years - Soundtoys dont seem to do much work, since they released Soundtoys many yeards ago and this long awaited update is minimal - A few extra presets and gui resizing. They could have at least done the minimal effort task of making their older VSTs Phasemistress, etc, look a little bit more modern in graphics. I dont mean making it look like a modern unit, I mean making it look like a vintage umit but with top quality graphics (rather than graphics from approx 10 years ago)

 

People figured this out awhile ago as i've seen it mentioned multiple times after the free plugins were released, Little Radiator, Little Plate, Phase Mistress, and SpaceBlender were all free, if I did not miss any others. I looked on multiple iLoks I have, and it seems like any single one of them is worth the $30 you mention, but any additional ones on an iLok account seem to only add $10 more discount after re-sync.

If they really wanted to make some quick money, they should sell Decap with competitive price to Sonnox for Oxford Inflator. It would be a Sales Inflator. Upgrade money only will come from existing users who purchased v5; but they have taken so long that most of those users probably don't even make music anymore.

 

I wish they could give you the paid option to opt out of Ilok system rather than resizable guis ...
