Which Email server in particular?

 

Any. Gmail. Hotmail, etc.
This if you use thunderbird or mailwasher or similar, because I made a global rule. No problem in webmail by browser.

 

As you've tested it in a firewall and had problems I will bow to your superior knowledge on the subject . I personally have a javasript blocker in Firefox called 'No script' which has never caused me server problems..

I guess between us the we can recommend people do that!

Yes, with internal browser scripts there shouldn't be any problem.

 

Latest problem created by Katfile is forcing registration to get links. After registering again, old reg from years ago no longer works, and, trying to login after a week or so, I kept getting the invalid username or password dialog. Banned IP Address after the third try. Supposed to be 5 tries.

Is it time for another service to be listed as one the official sister-site alternatives?

Yes. VPN does not work any longer as Katfile explicitly states this. This happens on my MacBook Air using WiFi.

My Windows tower which is hardwired to the same router logs in without issue. Same account. Was able to go into account settings and change settings twice. Both times indicated that a confirmation email was sent (never showed up & I did check Spam folder).

Assume Katfile is device level IP. Again...only an assumption.

 

I had downloaded a file without Opera "vpn" off, and the file I tested with was showing the "has to be 120 minutes since last file" message you normally get. Clicked Opera vpn button to enable it, refreshed browser and it no longer showed error and downloaded the file. Turned it off halfway through and it finished anyway. I type "vpn" re: opera browser vpn, because obv. it isn't one; but it does change the detected IPv4 and IPv6 address, even on sites like whatismyipaddress.com. It's not like KF is running a traceroute or anything remotely sophisticated when you download something.

Also on Mac/wifi. Finally upgraded Wifi to Fenvi Pcie wifi/bt card this week, many years late.

I dunno what youre doin wrong mate because I can register using gibberish and download immediately over and over again all while using a vpn and a couple of browsers no sweat.

 

KrapFile VPN issue has been there for as long as I can remember. Never been able to even get free slow-as-molasses DL's from Krapfile on VPN. Fuck 'em. Not DL'ing warez from anywhere without a VPN. Real-Debrid won't even DL from krapfile now. Fuck 'em twice. Nitro-crap == same deal. It's not anything I am doing, these things just won't work with VPN's. The ones who say they are using those two successfully with VPN's might want to check the particular VPN for IP leaks or DNS issues...

You trippin man. I've never not been able to download Kat, Nitro or Rapid links using a VPN and no my IP and DNS aren't leaking

 

Not sure if you have taken the time to read all posts in this thread. Definitely an issue for some. Tried various solutions including the built-in Vivaldi VPN in macOS & Windows. Have been able to make it to captcha page randomly, where the captcha area is blank.

Just tried again while in the middle of typing this response in Windows & Firefox.

• Dropped in captcha link. Captcha populated
• Got link & started download

Have not changed anything on my end. Tried same thing on Mac earlier but got the random errors or blank captcha. F5 page refresh does nothing.

How about sharing how your setup works for those of us who are apparently "trippin"

 

Had one free Firefox VPN working for a short time then, one day it just stopped working with Katfile & Rapidgator. Vivaldi worked for the first week it was introduced then stopped once it went into unlock feature (paid) mode.

 

Will try that with Firefox in Windows & Firefox, Vivaldi in macOS. Thanks!

 

Not "trippin man". If I say it doesn't, work it doesn't work. Not my choice it's the way it is...

To be honest I could care less what "keen" has going on there. Sounds about as secure as a screen door on a submarine.

What I have been experiencing with NF might just be file retention issues. However when testing some links thru RD on KF I get "hoster-unavailable" which would seem to denote some other issue than retention. Tried some basically zero-day links from Nitro-F a little bit ago on RD, and they worked. Seems that the retention time on NF isn't very long. Tried the equivalent KF links of the same files and got "unavailable-file" on all of em... RG seems to have pretty good retention where as NF comes in a distant second, with KF an even longer distance at third... KF having somewhat crappy retention is kind of ironic in the fact that it seems to be the most persnickety about usage and VPN's when not accessing it thru a debrid or native account.
