Hi, I saw on the mac crack of Wavelab 12 that you could apparently use it with SIP enabled "if you create your own certificate with Xcode and codesign it with your certificate". How would you do this and would this apply to Cubase 13? I would be willing to turn sip off temporarily but not permanently.

Obviously, you did not do the PKI procedure correctly then. But there is a better updated method write-up in another thread since this older one was posted: https://audiosex.pro/threads/any-steinberg-product-without-touching-sip.77993/

I really appreciate the reply, but coming from Windows to Mac, I'm at a loss for what PKI even means. Lol. I will certainly investigate the link you've provided. Honestly, it would be more than helpful if someone would post a visual tutorial... I know countless newbies would be extremely appreciative. Thanks a bunch!

Update: I actually have those exact files and instructions already... and followed them exactly. I've created the certificates via xcode and verified they are active/Valid in Keychain. I've also followed the procedures involving Terminal and the Command file. Everything goes smooth as butter until I attempt to open Cubase with SIP enabled, still I get the "Cubase Quit Unexpectedly" message. I'd literally be willing to pay a small fee for a video tutorial of this complete procedure. Lol.

sorry, I just typed PKI (public key infrastructure) because it is a fast common acronym. https://www.apple.com/certificateauthority/

    Apple PKI
Apple established the Apple PKI in support of the generation, issuance, distribution, revocation, administration, and management of public/private cryptographic keys that are contained in CA-signed X.509 Certificates.

Did you create the certificates yourself, or did you use the ones included in that thread? I would not guess that using those would work, and would suggest maybe to create your own instead. Which is possibly the most annoying part of that whole process.

Also, you had Cubase installed before you started trying to do this, right? I think a cleanup and reinstall might be your best bet getting it to work, if you continue trying and can't. Of course, if you were fine with having SIP disabled before this; I would probably just do that until the next time you reinstall or update your OS. Or at least make a Time Machine backup of your system before uninstalling and cleaning up your old Cubase install. You would want to do a complete manual uninstall of Cubase and all it's related files; not just dragging it to your trashcan. One of those Cleaner programs would be useful.
