UK band Depeche Mode have announced that band member Andy Fletcher has died.

In a statement released on Twitter, the band announced it

In March 1980, Vince Clarke, Martin Gore and Andy Fletcher formed a band called Composition
of Sound, with Clarke on vocals/guitar, Gore on keyboards and Fletcher on bass.

I thought he would be the first DM member to go. He had heart problems if I remember correctly.

Still sad, though. Just the other day I was thinking about a possibility that a member of one of my favourite bands could die. Well, it was sometime after Dave's birthday on 9.05. as if I had a hunch.

RIP Fletch. You'll be greatly missed.

Ohh, it seems we have a doctor here.
Fletch suffered from Depression and Anxiency disorder since the 90ies. It would be 100 times more likely that he took his own life.

One of my favourite music guy, I like him more than Vince and Alan. Enjoyed all his works and all his interviews I watched. Thank you for the music and may you rest in peace.

Fletcher from Depeche mode is gone as well.

 

It's sad, yes, but it's no coincidence that these drug-using bands of the 70s and 80s are being handed the bill. Depeche Mode even brought a drug dealer on tour with them... But hey! people are (just) people.
