Unfortunately Komplexer doesn't sound as good as MicroQ and is 32bit only, but that will be rectified with great style with DSP56300 project soon. I'm still using Komplexer on the second computer because it sounds unique. I've never heard real MicroQ or Q which will get emulated [maybe both?], so I'm really excited about this project. Virus C sounds really great. :headbang:

You probably had that in mind posting this. :invision:

Thanks for your comment. I'm also hoping for the DSP56300 project for Waldorf and Nord Lead.
That is the innovation and surprise for us musicians.

I used to have a Blofeld (hardware) and a Largo (software). Where the Largo was the only virtual synthesizer for me back then (2009) that was powerful enough to sound really good and loud. The Largo sounds better to me than the Blofeld, but that's subjective. The advantage of the Largo is that you can create presets (patches) better.

The Blofeld has a very cumbersome menu and only fewer controls. In short, not user friendly. Many hardware synthesizers for example the Yamaha MX-49 (MiniDisplay) is only with the free Vycro MX editor on the desktop to edit. Conclusion: So most factory presets are not good. And if you want to create presets yourself, the display is too small. Most of the time the menu navigation is pure torture. It doesn't go over enough knobs to have the overview. That's why I sold many hardware synthesizers and became more of a software user.

However, as you @SineWave already said the sound is usually better with hardware.

I had a real MicroQ and I can say that the Komplexer DOES NOT LIKE a real Waldorf synth, have a very plastic and rough sound... Synthesizer from old Cubase Steinberg A1 (by Waldorf) is closer.

    Thank you for this observation.
I think we can say now: no software clone sounds like the original. The original always sounds better.

Yes I agree, the first time I started the DSP Virus C I had the same wow as when I first heard my moog sub37 compared to even a korg minilogue etc. The sound is just there, bam in your face. Same with the virus c dsp, much less so with even the best VSTi's. And my wife, who doesn't give shit about music creation, but loves music, heard it straight away too.The Virus and the moog sound like an instrument, the other ones to produced already. Just my 2 cents.
Here is hoping for any Q

And the mQ landed at DSP56300 but you have to go to discord to get it. For now, I guess, while it's still in beta. It uses more CPU than Osirus for me and it shouldn't as mQ is based on Virus B Motorola if I'm not mistaken, but man it sounds nice.

I always wanted to have one of Waldorf synths like MicroWave or MicroQ but it always escaped me somehow. I'm having much fun with this, finally. :)

Vavra is quite a gun emulation of the Micro Q.

Do these patches work with Vavra? Just wondering since it’s basically a real microq and should accept all patches made from and for the hardware version

and put these Soundbanks into the new "microQ Bank" Folder:

    - ForumOne Soundset mQ v16
    - ForumThree_uQ
    - ForumTwo_uQ
    - microq_factoryset_2000
    - mQ_factory2001

1.) Click on the " Patches " Button --> it open the Preset browser
2.) Click with the right Mouse Taste on " Data Source "
    - A small 'Pop Up Menu' opens - Please use the " Add Files "

    DSP56300Emu-1.3.16-win64-Vavra-VST2

    into

    C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins or C:\Program FilesSteinerg VST \Plugins etc.

5.) Open the DAW - Scan for new plugins - Load the Vavra VST2

6.) Click on the " Patches " Button --> it open the Preset browser

7.) Click with the right Mouse Taste on " Data Source "

    - A small 'Pop Up Menu' opens - Please use the " Add Files "

    then go the " DSP56300Emu-1.3.16-win64-Vavra-VST2
    C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins\DSP56300Emu-1.3.16-win64-Vavra-VST2

I think I already have these, I got Komplexer just to see what it was about cause it scratched an itch I had for 2000s digital plugins like that, it has those patches BUT I’m pretty sure these have already been installed in Vavra before I got the ones to import
