I need an alternative to j downloader for the Sister Site, the new updates broke it and now it is very slow grabbing links then starting D/l

If more up-loaders just uploaded torrent links, programs like Jdownloader would only be needed for those who only use the filesharing sites you have to pay for (and those download links never last long). Now torrents might have other issues I'm not aware of but from my perspective the community is big enough to always have peer to peer seeding for most downloads. Plus it would probably be able continue downloading after it got hit with DMCA takedown like a bunch of thing on the sister site recently.

This is a few years old so im bumping it. Looking for a good alternative to jdownloader for mac. Ive been having issues with it. I figured someone would have made a better solution.

 

What is the main diff between Jdownloader and something like IDM?

 

JD2 is a updated version for win, macos, linux, NAS, ect... Maybe you'll have better luck with v2.x?

 

Im fully updated. Could be my setup. but the chrome extension would click the captcha for me and i could let downloads run all night.

now its not doing that so its not as "automated" as it used to be

 

I guess there were a few folks on other platforms even having issues after some update was applied, not sure about all the particulars of it. I've always used IDM instead of JD. No idea how the two compare but they are similar in their workings I would imagine. Maybe give IDM a try? There's a MACOS version of that as well.

 

it could also depend on where you are downloading from. The current version of Jdownloader with a real-debrid account loaded into it, as an example; just bypasses captchas on the commonly used hosting services.

I didnt know Folx could do rapidgator type sites. I used to use it only for torrents. Thx for the tip!
