I'm primarily an INIT guy but I'm gonna actually second that choice, it's actually one of the only ones that stick in my mind. Perfect patch and endlessly useable.

First I find something that is similar enough to what I wanted, and then edit it until it's more or less precisely what I wanted. I'm not very creative with naming presets. It's an afterthought for me, so I usually end up with:
SynthBass 01, etc. SynthPad 01, etc. "01" because I usually make some variations later so I know what variation of it it is.

Choir 01, Violin 01, ThatShit 01 ... You get it by now, I think.

For some special, more unique sounds, I usually use some funny name. Like "This Shit Hurts", "Heavy Fart", "ButtPlug Hit", "HellScream", "Dying Banana", "Chaotic Sphincter"... as there's usually no nr. 02. Often in the spirit of Metasonix pedals.
