Oxford DeBuzzer, DeClicker, and DeNoiser plug-ins are being retired from sale. These tools have served many engineers well, but needs evolve, and we're continuing to focus on innovation in areas that align more closely with our strengths: crafting intuitive tools for music creatives who want to retain creative control.
If you already own any of these plug-ins, nothing changes for you:

    • Your licenses remain valid forever.
    • You can still install, authorise, and use your plugins as usual.
    • We’ll continue to offer support until December 31st, 2025.

After that, while the plugins may continue to work, we won’t be able to guarantee compatibility with new systems or fix emerging issues.

As a gesture of thanks, if you purchased any of these products in May or June 2025, we’d like to refund the difference. Just contact our support team, and we’ll take care of the rest.
We’re deeply grateful you’ve used these tools in your workflow, and we’re excited about what’s coming next.

If you have any questions, please reach out to our support team.

    Thanks,
    The Sonnox Team

It seems the idea isn't to make them available to everyone for free. I don't fucking need those gadgets either. Go fuck yourself, Sonnox!

Always wondered how good they are versus say RX, but I don't really wanna buy a bundle that's being deprecated even if it's cheap

I would recommend iZotope RX, though, as it offers many more options. iZotope is one of the high-tech giants. /www.izotope.com/en/products/rx.html

By the way, Waves also has noise reduction plugins. www.waves.com/plugins/noise-reduction-restoration#sort:path~type~order=.default-order~number~asc|views:view=grid-view|paging:currentPage=0|paging:number=18

You can see from Sonnox's introductory price how competitive the market is.

Quite familiar with RX and the Waves offerings. It's not Sonnox's introductory price, it's Sonnox's deprecated price "we're no longer updating these plugins" and third party sellers start selling them off at high discounts.

Regardless, algorithms are algorithms, one may work better than the other in a given scenario. I'm a bit intrigued as my experience with Sonnox's plugs has been quite good, but I dunno if I want to pony even $30 for plugins that are abandonware.

Hey, I've gotten some use out of the Sonnox stuff over the decades without question. So I'm not hating on them or not saying they did not do their job at egregious prices (then) that were required....

But yeah, without looking admittedly, I imagine they are still iLok, and I'm sure they do what they do 'now' and then what they do.

But I wouldn't be rushing to buy acknowledged plugins "to be deprecated" at all unless you needed them now. (especially if one is on macOS as the shifting undulations of tide underneath could render them extant with the next point iteration of os....)...

If one needs them now, cool... go for it. And I'm sure there are reasons... but fomo on these decades old relics (again, I'm not trying to be insensitive to their worth or ability at times but)... no way am I spending even $20 or 20euros on something I know since they say said it, isn't likely to be supported... why?

I'd rather give $20-30 or euros/pounds to ASPCA or anything else worthwhile as I'm more that sure I could probably find freeware either now or in the near future that will suffice should I need it in what they do....

Again recognizing that Sonnox has made some good products, I think for the small change bullshit they would be better off giving the stuff away for free to get the love and attention to their other remaining lineup....

I've always been of the opinion that their Oxford stuff is massively overrated. A triumph of marketing.

I overall agree, but I still think that Claro is hands down the fastest, straight to the point Fabfilter-like EQ ever made. Even Pro-Q has some UI annoyances that Claro doesn't have. I just wish they didn't ship it without dynamic EQ, because everything else is perfect.

They likely do not have the sales on these plugins to justify fixing them.

Same here. The denoising was average at best when those plugins came out. Today they're completely fallen out of time. But that other 'killer tools' too. People always were like 'oh my dark lord, the sonnox deesser is the best out there'. When I finally was able to work with it I was underwhelmed. I mean it's a desser, it deesses and it's ok at that. But it's about the quality my daw has built in, so...
Somehow when stuff is protected for a long time and hasn't been cracked people seem to think it's better than the tools they got at hand. But could it be: If it was really that awesome, wouldn't some group took those ages to crack it? Maybe it's just not worth the hassle.

I have a bit of a "funny" story about Sonnox Restoration.
I bought this bundle about six months ago and had problems getting one of the plugins to show up in Wavelab.
I contacted Sonnox for help and got the following answer:
We update our plugins on a regular basis and also plan on an upcoming update for this bundle.
These plugins were last updated in 2016 so that's a lie....
Luckily the price was low when I bought Sonnox Restoration, but still?!?
