How come?

 

Tell that to my G3 and G4, and my G5 that lasted on the market a whopping six months before it was shit canned and replaced with the first gimped Intel Mac Pro..

 

I dropped a ton on a maxed-out 16-inch MacBook Pro in 2019, then Apple dropped the M1 a year later... I was pissed.

 

It's becoming a good time to plan on getting an ARM mac anyway. The internal storage prices haven't gotten much better, but the RAM in the new machines no longer cost as much as a second machine. If you have been on the fence about the timing to switch, the future releases will probably push things into "very good time to update" territory. It's not as if you can't continue using your intel machines too.

 

Yeah that's happened pretty much with every Apple purchase lol. G4's came out very shortly after I got my G3, but I was a late adopter too.
G4 Quicksilver 2002/800Mhz, not even a month later, they revved the whole PowerMac lineup and they all came with dual CPUs for the same price. G4 Titanium Powerbook/800Mhz, 1Ghz came out a few weeks later. First iPod (the BRICK!), same story. Bought my Intel Mac mini in 2020 and about six months later, there were the M1s!

They need to bring back Wozniak. We'd all still have super Apple IIGS machines!
