so for this one i wanted it to be about keeping your focus under intense emotions and high energy situations. like the guy walking high rope, despite the high adrenaline youre experiencing, you try to keep your equilibrium by focusing on remaining mentally calm and clear headed

so i used my Juno-106 for the synth tones and my Harmony Rebel electric guitar through my princeton amp to try and create that serenity and calmness; i also ran the guitar through my flower delay pedal - as tradition with jungle music, i have a sample of the amen break from the soul song “Amen, Brother”, sped and chopped it up with serato sample and manipulated it with effects for the drums to capture that raw, emotional intensity and energy

i also have a sample that isnt just Junglist from my homegirls video she was in that i saw online and thought was hilarious. mainly as an expression of a technique for when youre having anxiety and your nerves and thoughts are all over the place;, directing your focus elsewhere to something comforting can help bring you back to that calm for a time being - so all in all my interpretation is about mental and emotional balance, had a really fun time with this one; genres as usually are ones i thought matched

@Somnambulist @capitan crunch thank you both, i really like how this one turned out and it was fun to make. its always cool to me to see what the picture will bring out of me with this exercise

 

@macros mk2 I like the clock idea and think it fits perfectly the context. The first and third parts are really good to me, more minimalist and giving me more tension. Very good work

@johnmusichead I like the first part best. I can feel sensation of the abyss beneath, the broken rythm then make me think he will fall badly at the end, I don't know if he survived. Nice piece well written

 

@Grape Ape .. To me your best outing of the exercise as it was the most interesting for me to listen to. I find it a creative use of texture and layering, and yes, your friends spoken word is funny. I'll also guess that this one is closest in regard to genre in comparison your real life commercial work, mystery man. In any case, a fantastic entry and I'm so glad that you shared it with us.

 

@Grape Ape A really nice piece, I love the intro with the EP remember me good times, with a nice guitar, the flowing serenity is great.
Then the rythmic section is amazingly energic, contrasting with the melody which remains really soft and dreamy.
The weird sound at the end make me think about the cable tension, a nice fun touch!

@Lois Lane thanks homie, i appreciate it - maybe one day ill share who i am publicly here but im way too popular currently and ive been in my position long enough that i understand fandom and fame really well. ive had people stalk me, my family members, ive had my address doxxed with people showing up to my place, people suing me, stealing my credit info, people i thought were my friends steal from me, leak my music or information about me, even my mom unintentionally put an unreleased song i sent her and put it as a ringtone, which had people harassing her. i didnt really understand fandom well till it was happening too me; but my core fans want to be close to me, which a lot of times ive learned leads to overstepping boundaries and theres millions of them. so im very careful, its not something to play with ive learned and this site is not staffed to handle it properly

also legally i have an agreement with my label that any music i release to the public has to go through them. while i own the rights to my music, i did sign and agree to that; and with this non-contest i have a lot of unreleased music, which would cause legal problems for me. so its nothing personal, its just my safety, the safety of my loved ones and my livelihood will always come first. i do appreciate your kind words and overall understanding, i just dont want you to think its a you thing. its definitely me and the experiences ive had so far in life
