These support arguments go nowhere and end up causing war. Putting two things against each other always creates tension. The two things could be anything. Whether in real life or on the internet, discussions that end up supporting an idea, something, or someone can lead to conflict. We need to learn not to support someone or something or an idea and see everything together. I myself have done this sometimes out of ignorance and seen the results. There is no happy ending. I advise everyone to avoid supporting ideas as much as possible if you want to avoid disturbing minds.

Yep, it's true that there's an underlying passive aggressive script at play, always following the same routine. I've just noticed there's more of a tendency to discard the intellectual pretension and move to the derogatory phase sooner. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but the use of casual over formal language is a new development that suggests some loss of control (typical narcissist reaction).

Anyhow, we're all far too guilty of giving them oxygen. By far the best thing to do is to simply ignore them. Think I'm gonna just post the same response every time from now on...

Though we cannot say who with certainty, there is definitely a Foster in the thread. As time goes by he will reveal himself.

Right. Your tea went cold, so it's been given to the dog.

Any new discovery that is new or good, relies on the imagination of those who have it. Stephen Hawking, Einstein, and many others in science and mathematics, Charles Babbage credited with creating the first computer, a technology that today's music is regularly created on.... etc etc
In music the cool jazz modal approach, and also jazz-rock was attributed to Miles Davis from "Bitches Brew" onwards, who was not young at the time.
Anything new can be discovered in any idiom, at any age. Tarring anything or anyone with the same brush is a deprivation of knowledge and limited thought, some may even call it ignorant.
