It’s generally untainted young minds that bring change & innovation to Art, not much else.

We can hear the effect of that if we briefly analyze the past five decades of popular music from the 20th century.

I think it’s reasonable to assume that the songs written in the first half of the 20th century were composed mostly by adults, who would probably score several piano parts, substituting all the various individual instrument riffs, strings, brass etc, by playing them first, probably, usually perhaps, never truly hearing the finished work until it is performed and then, with no production or a recording, the composers magnum opus will be at the mercy of the musicianship involved.

The 50’s brought a sea of change, the guitar was thrust front of stage, replacing the trumpet and Rock n Roll was delivered, primarily, at first, by young adults, to be administered to the 60’$ youth, who would eventually, rightly, ignore tired ol’ Rock clichés, while nurturing, adapting and melding them into their own genre and at the expense of older, more experienced folk, as is there discerning right.

No harm is done though, the youth forge their own brand of music for their generation, while adult bands are rapidly stagnating, but still retaining most of the other like–minded adult fans who will share that same narrow-minded illogical opinion that, they know better, ol’ fogies in fact.

No scoring here then, plus you could instantly hear the result of all the instruments playing together as you write, must have been an amazing revelation to all, except the ol’ score writers, who no doubt frowned upon such different innovative behavior.

I can almost hear my imaginary early 20th century composer whining, “That’s not proper music, notated by proper educated scoring musicians, they just make it up as they go along.’

Well, so did my imaginary scoring composer, but being bogged down in his foolhardy ways, progress is his sworn enemy, and must be avoided at all costs, a luddite, so he can’t see the wood for the trees.

The 70’s retained the guitar as main weapon of choice for untrained uncouth yoof, who also, 'made it up as they went along,’ listening intently ‘til they hit the right chord, they didn’t know the rules but somehow, naturally, managed to rigidly stick like glue to them, simply by following their own uninformed instincts.

No knowledge needed, just a willing open minded curiosity and an instinctive belief in your own ability to forge a decent song.

That’s still true to this day.

Then, as those young ‘uns aged a little, they too became, as is the norm, set in their own tired old ways, gradually becoming less adaptable, playing it safe, unwilling to change or even listen to reason or common sense, young fogies in fact.

The 80’s youth rebelled against this complacency by developing their own genre of music by letting Synthesizers dominate a song, no guitars, or were pushed to the sidelines.

The 80’s was also a time when production took center stage as songs became independent of the basic, vocal, bass, guitar & drums productions. Synths and digital drum boxes offered a far greater variety of sounds and this needed addressing, even with double the amount of recording channels, the results were not always pleasing though, as producers often tried to improve, impress, conceal or compensate.

Simultaneously, while these young synth bands were hogging da charts, there was also a huge youthful, radically innovative, underground dance scene, also using synths, but with more powerful analogue drum boxes, that bestows a sonic leg up to all dance genres, kicks that really kick, snappy, crispy snares that can cut thru a busy mix, yet for well over a decade the public were out of step with that and dance music was scorned upon, rarely entering the top twenty, yet Dance music, rightly so, now rules the airwaves and everything in between.

This has remained true to this day.

“Out With the Old, In With the New’ is always a sensible philosophy for youth to adhere to, as it secures change, which is vital to prevent stagnation, so progress can organically forge ahead unhinderd into uncharted territories.

The young will eventually need to remember that you’re ‘never too old to learn’ the old need to leave the past where it is and passionately embrace the present to gain access to and expand into the future, ball’s in your court, choice is yours, choose wisely.

Only young once, never too old to learn eh.

...Rock n Roll was delivered, primarily, at first, by young adults...

Might be sensible in future to try reading before you write und perhaps not be so eager to put folk straight, just in case you're in the wrong, again, but especially when they obviousley don't need or respect such gratuitous trivial childish behaviour.

Don't let that stop you though, always be yourself eh.

Chuck Berry invented rock n Roll or as near as damn it... but unfortuneately, a white face was deemed more suitable to promote it, no surprises there eh.

Talk about wot you know not wot you think you know eh.

Und your point is wot exactly?

Condescending behavior implies treating someone as though you are superior, either in intelligence or status. It's a patronizing attitude where you speak or act as if you're looking down on others.
    Here's a more detailed explanation:
    • Definition:
Condescending means showing or characterized by a patronizing attitude or superiority.
    • Examples:
      • "He explained the simple concept as though I was an idiot," said Maria, feeling condescended to.
      • "The teacher spoke to the students in a condescending tone, belittling their efforts," notes the Quora user.
      • A 10-year-old might say to his younger sibling, "What do you know? You're only a 6-year-old!".
    • Synonyms:
      patronizing, superior, lordly, lofty.
    • Origin:
The Latin word "condescend" (to descend with) suggests a downward, patronizing attitude, notes Vocabulary.com.
    • Behavior:
Condescending behavior is often intended to make others feel bad about their lack of knowledge or possessions, and it often succeeds in that goal.

Chuck Berry is more or less correctly labelled as the father or grandfather of rock n roll, not least because he'd adapted his piano player's style to the guitar and made it his own, but it was a black (and queer) woman, Sister Rosetta Tharpe who birthed it first.
Sister Rosetta Tharpe's 1945 hit “Strange Things Happening Every Day” is considered to be the first rock and roll record.

I'm noticing a change of style in the way that foster is writing, it's becoming more aggressive, perhaps as a result of their nagging realisation that nobody here is taking the bait and only receives mocking responses.

They are also revealing their country of origin to me due to losing their previous formal language control and using specific identifying colloquialisms as a result of their anger.

    Rumbled eh pal... :winker:

    My thoughts exactly
Ain't that right... Foster's ( @L-D ) current provocation mantra is "old people suck" instead of "people nowadays that compose sucks". Multiverse, MultiFoster and MultiBanned soon in your best theaters

Sister Rosetta Tharpe was 30 in 1945, and Chuck Berry was 29 in 1955. Where are all these young minds that Foster speaks about?

What's the threshold for "being old"? At what age should I be concerned of Foster's mighty judgement?

FFS music “innovation” is basically just a never-ending thrift shop rotation. Every new batch of so-called visionaries shows up, digs through the dusty attic of the past, finds some forgotten synth patch or guitar rubbish --slaps some dull effeckts on it, and boom —> revolution, geezzz. Except it’s not. It’s just vintage cosplay with a side of self-con-f0cking-gratulation.

Back in the day, sure, old farts wrote entire scores by candlelight, waited months to hear an orchestra fumble through it, and called that “composition.” Then some greasy-haired teenager plugged a guitar into an amp, hit three chords, and declared war on harmony. Bravo. And when that got boring, the next gen came along, fired the guitar, hired a drum machine on coke, and declared themselves prophets of the future --Kebabträume for the win!

Fast forward to now, and every "fresh new sound" is basically just someone discovering an old Aphex Twin B-side, warping it, throwing in AI vocals, and calling it post-neo-electro-blisswave. Meanwhile, they’re all convinced they’re too edgy for the mainstream—while streaming on Spotify and begging for Bandcamp Fridays.

And the old farts? They sit in forums, polishing their MIDI controllers (yeah sure!), crying about “back when music had soul” while ignoring the fact that they did the exact same thing thirty years ago to someone else's legacy.

Truth is! ...youth don’t invent music, they rebrand it. And old folks don’t hate change, they just hate being left out of the group chat...god damn it!

Btw, anyone! This "Foster" thingy—Fosterism, whatever? I’m too old for this shit. Does it mean "Not fully developed, yet still (wannabe) formative"? FFS, just call a spade a spade.

The new generation wastes its time trying to show its superiority to the old generation, and the old generation does the same. Every person has a specific memory that is partially filled at different ages, and as their life progresses, less and less empty space remains in their mind. The new generation, whose brains are almost empty of various experiences, tries to show it to the old generation, and this is where the conflict between half-full and empty memories begins.
The new generation has only one way to prove itself to the older generation, because the older generation doesn't take the new generation seriously. And that way is for the new generation to try hard, trial and error, and produce a product that is accepted by the older generation. The older generation usually does not accept anything from the new generation, and if it does, it is usually to avoid breaking the hearts and feelings of the new generation. Unless the new generation can hack the minds of the older generation and produce a product that the older generation can like. Of course, the new generation does not value the older generation and does not seek to respect and please the older generation. Because they see the older generation as black and white photographs that have no appeal to them. The new generation can understand the older generation only when they face the same problems and issues that the older generation faced and look at events and life from their perspective. Which usually either doesn't happen or it takes a long time for the new generation to become familiar with the problems of the older generation, and that is when, unfortunately, the older generation has left the earth without receiving anything satisfying from the new generation. The new generation doesn't have much time. If the wishes of the older generation are important to them (which usually aren't), they should try as hard as possible to understand the wishes of the older generation and be able to satisfy them.

This really isn't a change in MO. He tries to start with something innocuous and then they eventually reach a point of user account implosion.
It's like some kind of pre-ban script that runs as soon as any attempt at a backstory has failed.
