none of those were working for me. it also depends on the usecase, where you want to register and so on.

gave it up with finding a free one in the end. what i was using then was temp-number.org

services now are smart enough to identify between real and VoIP number, I just tested it on an OpenAI account sign up and my IP immediately flagged for abuse. mothefucking AI too smart.

 

ya gotta keep low man those lasers are fucking hot, you can lose an eye or more, and they can hear what you whisper and they detect the angles of of body projecting your vectored future. too smart too fast and unhuman!

 

Used such numbers in the past but the last time it was a real PITA to find a working one. Plus, I think it can be unsafe if you're activating something of value.. they'd have to have other data though, idk

I just use a prepaid 1€ burner sim in my old phone. The downside is that than, it's not really anonymous..

 

Same as Bobby. I use a $5 a month phone and it is registered to my dog's name, my dog's email address for the android account and has her real details. We don't have 1€ or $1 here or I would have one of those.

 

If you’re outside the US and need country-specific numbers, I’ve had good luck with AnonymSMS. They offer numbers from a bunch of places like UK, Germany, even Georgia. You just click a number, use it wherever, and your SMS shows up instantly

A couple of years ago you could get free ones that actually worked. Now, NONE of these so called free SMS or ph# sites work. Well I should say they work, but not for the intended purpose of what you or I would need it for. They are all scam sites now. And the scant one or two of them that do still kind-of, sort-of work, the application or site you're intending to use it on will not accept the number or text to the service.

The only truly anonymous solution for this anymore is a tracfone - the phone itself and associated refill cards payed for only with ca$hy money and activated online thru vpn. No email used, no accounts made, no CC's tied to it, also making certain location tracing and internet are turned OFF on the phone itself. Make doubly certain that the phone itself is a model that has a removable battery (very important) - that way you just simply pull the batt when it's not needed (phones that are "powered down" with batt power still available, are never truly "off") and you can rest assured that the thing is dead to the world... Used this method for a few years now - it works ok.
