The previous patch broke unpacking of containers of old (RAS2) libraries.

 

regarding nkx unpacking:
I can't unpack strikeforce 2, and heavyocity analog hybrid drums using known tools
seems like some newer releases changed the encryption earlier this year

if someone could suggest a solution - that would be greatly appreciated

This and the previous version do not properly unpack some forbidden characters (read the UNIX filenames: entry in the readme). For example, the ▢ character

they have all OS and it is an open source.

extract the inNKX.7z somewhere (here in the plugins WCF folder of the pc portable version).


now it need to go in options to add the plugin (seek the inNKX.wcx64)
and add one by one the extensions to be taken. nicnt, nkx, nkr... +nks if needed)


when done you can extract and repack (need to use the original folder structure, as seen when unpacking)


the tuto is unpack original and watch how it is packed, to rebuild as the original. (compress as, nicnt, nkr, nkx...)
the boring part is the [pipe] name (the folders name) in the extracted PAResources
the cool batch rename function enable to delete the prefix faster for images and meta files.

it works basically as total commander.

I am using Total Commander with inNKX to extract the ncw files from the nkx Kontakt library. I have got as far as unpacking the ncw files into the left hand pane of Total Commander but when I try to Unpack Specific Files I get an error that says something in Russian (I cannot copy the text to translate) followed by (SNPID) =011. Has anyone seen this before that could give me some advise. Thanks. Solved. I just changed the SNPID to 011 in the nicht file and it now unpacks.

Unfortunately not. Although if you're using Bobdule's version I think it wouldn't be too hard to create one. But not easy either since you have to check the SNPID isn't used by an official lib.

Correct me if I'm wrong but most all Kontakt library scene distributions do not need to be "unlocked" when using a properly bewitched version of Kontakt to begin with. As far as the missing NICNT files go anymore, tracer's new tool (v2.0) for making those files eliminates the guesswork almost entirely. The only other thing really problematic anymore is the NativeAccess.XML being out of date - but we have the easy fix for that as well.
