Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a sampled Hammond B3 for Kontakt mainly.
I already own Vintage Organs by Native Instruments, but I'm looking for a better Quality.

Any alternatives?

GSi - VB-3 - Still my go-to Hammond Organ, although Blue3 is a very close second. For many users, this has been the Hammond organ plugin to beat. I've been reading in various forums that a good percentage of users prefer this one....as do I.

GG Audio - Blue3 - After playing this for a few days, I waffled back and forth between this and the VB-3 as a "go-to" organ. It doesn't have a decent bottom end (you can't do a good "gliss" - a hand slide up from the bottom keys), and many presets sound too synthy. But it can punch through other instruments better than the VB-3, and I think it has a slightly better Leslie Speaker emulator. The amount of features and adjustments blow away anything else I own. It has a LOT of presets and Tonewheel sets. So for that alone, it's definitely worth checking out. I will most likely be using it on some songs. I tried combining the VB-3 and Blue3, playing them together, and it creates a very full sound, with the VB-3 adding the needed bass that's lacking in Blue3.

Native Instruments B4/ B4 II - It used to be my go-to Hammond Organ. When it was first released it was one of the best. It still ranks high on my list. It's a shame NI discontinued this line.

Native Instruments – B4-II VST

 

The uhh Lounge Lizard is the creme de la crene. I know it's a VST but it's literal tits.

It might not be the most selection for Hammond but everything it's pretty much excellente

Yeah I have mastered the delicate art of reading sunshine, I just love to plug the Lounge Lizard.

Also that key word 'alternatives' at the end was the doozy I was replying to.

Personally I'd use the Lounge Lizard for pretty much anything keyboard related that's not a piano, because it sounds ace and it's not like 90GB whatever

 

B5 Organ V3 is my preferred clone wheel plugin. Favorite Leslie simulator is another giant bag of worms.

 

I have yet to encounter a Hammond organ for Kontakt that I would let my dog listen to.

And some of y'all need to learn how to read.

Also, Cherry Audio Blue3. Be-Bopped is the only preset I use.

 

Not for kontakt but vst...IK Multimedia Hammond B 3X..i must say i love the sound also from GSI Vb 3...and B4 Ii by Native Instruments also sounds nice,but they never updated it for win 64 bit system.

Well one would think the alternatives mean alternatives for Kontakt or otherwise it would just be any organ of any kind out there anywhere, right, but anyway have at it love you mean it.
