    I guess you are judging superficially, without really knowing what you are talking about. The Mac mini has low prices and truly shocking performance, not to mention its very small size. Today, for multimedia use macmini is the most suitable machine

    yes, man, spend 2~3x to buy the same hardware specs and get under a OS where you are just a passenger, not the pilot

    make sure you set correct power plan and power profile in Windows,
    if it's anything else than high/ultimate performance, especially laptops tend to fluctuate a lot in cpu frequency which is often the culprit for such spikes, also that Intel cpu has performance and efficiency cpu cores and not all DAWs can yet properly recognize and leverage those effectively

    i bought a high-end laptop 4 months ago to make a portable studio, nice specs, windows 11, very smooth, but with hundreds of bloatware.
    I didn't want to, but I couldn't resist, so I wiped out everything, in fact, I deleted the partition and make a new one, Installed GhostSpectre Win11 24h2 without defender and did a bunch of tweaks and its running my DAW and VSTs really great, I'm very happy

    maybe... That's what you have to do, my friend

    If you don't want to worry about specs and just focus on making music with a reliable system, I’d recommend checking out ARM-based Macs. Go for an M-series Pro or Max chips with 64GB of RAM and a 1-2TB SSD, depending on your budget—even the older models are blazing fast. You’ll wonder why you didn’t switch sooner, trust me! But if gaming’s your thing, ignore this and stick with an AMD setup, though you might have to deal with some ASIO headaches on your own.

    it happens with my pc. Check your power settings by default its on balance change it to ultimate performance. it will utilize all cpu cores.
