If the question was more like is there a difference between a $50 department store turntable and a REGA III, that would be more comparable.

Cables, sure some like Beldin and others are better than the $20 ones, but $11,000 ????
If you were on a desert island and all you wanted to hear was some music for the pure sake of enjoyment, I doubt you'd be too concerned about the audiophile quality of the cable unless the cable was broken.
