Readability, clarity, color selection and sharpness are exemplary, even a translation into several languages is possible. There are even sound samples with the ever-popular SoundCloud. You can even post comments. The buttons even have a mouse effect, so you always know where you are.

Thanks buddy :), and the search system, with the 3 win mac and linux filters, and the little table for compatibility VST AU AXX for beginners what do you think? Do you think it's well done? Do you think this page is optimal? Is there anything missing?

There are 14 buttons to choose from, and if you use the site frequently, you should be able to navigate easily. It's quite logically structured. The A.Z. listing and search also serves its purpose. With so many music products, you have to set priorities so you don't drown in data overload. Well done...!

I was looking for the Korg - R3 earlier but couldn't find it.
I have free R3 soundbanks on my website!

    Korg - R3 = www.korg.com/de/products/synthesizers/r3/

Yes you’re right, there are 14 buttons, I should put them in alphabetical order.
Indeed I had not yet included the Korg R3, thank you this is an opportunity to put it. Thanks for your valuable advice as always.

I have my own growing hoard of VST goodies and want to catalog them in a database.

Wondering whether to use either a table in a word.doc, an excel table or a simple access style database?

The structure of columns would be:
Developer | Product | Type | Version | WWW Dev. | WWW Source ... erc.The 'Type' would be limited to similar used in KVRaudio.

    Fully searchable and sortable.

Ideally to inclue a graphic of the GUI of each product in the dB.

KVRaudio used to have a great big dB, sortable by Developer or Product Name but I cannot find it anymore -_-.

Are there any database boffins here who can whip up such a dB for me, in something like SQL, MS Access, OpenOffice Base ?

    My unprofessional but user-friendly database.
I took a screenshot of each VSTi in the DAW, labeled the image accordingly, and placed it in a folder:
    Example: My 32-bit VSTi - 2024 - 057 VSTi - Pictures (jBridge).

If you don't remember the name of a plugin, images are very helpful for finding something.

Hi, I understand your desire to create a personal database, it's a good project. That said, this thread is dedicated to Virtualsynthesizers.com - a site that aims to collect virtual alternatives to real instruments in an accessible way. If you want to start a discussion about your database, I invite you to create a dedicated thread. If I did the same thing the other way around, I doubt you'd appreciate it. ;)
