My formula for making money is:
Make light music, but not too sophisticated. Hire someone who can sing and is presentable. Bribe a few TV and radio stations and build a brand. Choose a catchy name for the artist and get the press to write about them repeatedly.Get top-notch studio musicians and go on tour.

As a producer, buy advertising and marketing concepts developed by psychologists. Once the brand is established and your songs have reached the ears of consumers, your tour will sell out, not because of the unique music, but because of the hype and the identification of the Taylor Swift brand.
