Whats the best Guitar Vsti like Sounds of Rammstein(Power Guitar)?

What do you mean by power guitar? It's hard to get Richard's tone because a lot of it is just the layering. I read before he does an insane amount of layers, something absolutely ridiculous like 24 guitar tracks for a single song. And you have to make sure the timing is basically perfect. You're not gonna get that out of a guitar VST.

I know he's big on Mesa Boogie amps, if you're just looking for amp sims. Even though Otto Audio II II doesn't really sound like Rammstein it's still the ballsiest sounding amp sim out right now. You could at least get close to the feel with it.

I can tell you from experience that Rammfire for Guitar Rig won't get you there. That pile of trash isn't even worthy for demos

 

Guitar Rig has an amp called Rammstein prettty good chugy DU Hast sound in that

 

Don't know if you want a guitar vst or an amp vst.

If you need an amp vst, you could try using something like amplitube, has a ton of options and in tonet you could also find a signal chain to reproduce an specific tone.

 

To get that tone RZK uses:
First: He uses a lot the ESP since 2005, is in love with that guitars (Has a Signature series) (beside it have others ESP guitars)
Second: The Amp that he uses on almost everything is The Dual 100 Watts Mesa Boggie Rectifier, and The 150 Watts Triple Rectifier Mesa Boggie, other Times uses Mesa Boggie MK IIC, (This is the Tone Of the last Ramm songs) beside of that, he uses Soldano Decatone y Avenger 100 Watts in solitaire.
Third: He Uses a pedalboard, but the most effect that i know for that tone are the TC Electronics Dark Mater, and TC Rotweiller.
Four: That Distorted ane Clean tone at the same time is because he loves play power chords.

My advice, because i try to recreate that sound of him, and i was able to get very close with:
Tonex From IK Multimedia
for the guitar, almost any guitar with 6 strings.
For the effect (Dark Mater) Softube Marshall Plexi Super Lead 1959 and Mercuriall Audio Tube Amp Ultra 530.
And for the Rotweiller i don't have anything... Sad. Hope this helps, and yeah you can use that Rammfire in Guitar Rig,.but you need to tweek a lot because is steril but it has certain Tone from RZK.

 

Any Engl vsti along with some Engl IRs.

 

Ample Sound has a product called Hellrazer. Made for metal, “power chords” can be pulled off.

Although, to be honest: you’d be better off hiring a guitar player friend and recording them. Guitar played on a keyboard / computer will always sound kind of fake.

 

I play guitar. I recently went through every brand I could find. Every playable 'metal' library but one blows . Ample Sound, Impact Sound, Orange Tree, uJam, Music Man, NI.. none of them have a convincing instrument even for simplified barre chords... but then, out of the ashes it rose and I, uh, beheld the glory of Prominy V-Metal. No other sample library is even close to this for 'metal' guitar (believe its an ESP) that can be fully articulated by means of piano roll. If all you want are root 5 power chords you can pull those off within minutes of opening as they (for the the first few positions anyway) don't require mixing specific components or knowing how to trigger specifics elements for getting decent results off default loadin.

For amp and cab just get neuraldsp. Better than 98% of every other solution, and far faster/easier to setup/learn/use than that last 2%.

 

Brainworks have a Mesa Dual Rec clone, the amp which he is famous for using.

He's also had a small robotic device to move around the mic in front of the cabinet - made for his studio because his tone is largely got from the mic placement, and this can be emulated using MIKKO vst or the LIBRA plugins - and ultimately making your own impulse responses and layering them (I use mTurboReverb and mConvolutionMB and there are others to design IRs). Thats the path I'd go. Oh and having a good Tube Screamer plugin before the amp eg. Cytomic The Scream. I'd focus on getting those 3 things right and keep it simple, just nail those 3.

For Cabs I think he was also using Mesa and Celestian, worth looking into if he was using anything funky there but I think it was a fairly standard setup.

There was a brief period he used Engl amps with a mid forward / less scooped sound, you can hear on tunes like Mein Land and (and the second I can't remember it might have been Benzin or Rosenrot). So if you like that mid forward sound, you could experiment with the Brainworx Engl Powerball as I think thats the one he used.

For Clean he is using a Roland Jazz Chorus, like Metallica do, Roland just came out with their own VST of this I think recently, or maybe its been out for a while. This will probably sort out that side of things.

As for the NI Rammfire they released some years ago, I don't think the quality is there. Some years ago there was "Honest Amp Sim Reviews" that he has taken down since, but on there the Brainworks got 9/10 whereas NI Guitar Rig was like 5/10 - and some others did go higher but I didn't look into them at the time, there may be a better Dual Rec clone than the Brainworks but that one anyway is an easy choice that works pretty well, then just spend all the time designing IRs and EQ that customize the sound to what you like...
