To shorten the waiting time a little:

Roland JP-8000 (1996) | Factory Demo Songs (HQ)

Roland JP-8000 - trancy signature sound of the 90ies

The Roland JP-8000 came out 1996 as the first VA-Synth of Roland. It had the very famous super saw waveform on board, a saw consisting of 8 saw waves slightly detuned, which is adjustable with a fader in live performance. It also had a very distinctive digital delay and chorus plus equalizer, which gave the synth its typical signature sound. The JP-8000 was the style maker für trance music

Nice.. always good to have more emulations to choose from... well, ignoring paradox of choice.

Arturia's selection is already pretty solid so these are pretty good additions.

For people wanting a SEM-a-like then Cherry Audio has one free which is pretty good.

I'm developing a certain "not too thrilled" feeling about Roland synths and trying to focus on the current synths, but hey - it is very welcome to be able to experience these classic sounds in your DAW without actually wasting some half-existing dosh on a half-dead x-hand hardware.

It'd be nice if people would provide proof of these claims. I can't see it in Analog Lab V, 5.11.1 (14th April 2025 version) and it isn't mentioned in the changelog

From what I remember since the last version Christmas 2023, we’re getting augmented Yangtze, augmented mallets, Synthx, Minibrute and the new JP8000, they gave an “intro” version for Christmas last year but it hasn’t technically been officially released, then it’s just the rest of the instruments minus pigments that came in the last year, there might be updates to older ones but they might end up making 11 a much bigger upgrade overall… I knew I had that clairvoyant feeling Arturia was making moves it was just a bit later than I expected m long enough to feel like it was after my prediction

I have 2 cheap analog behringer synths. Pro-1 and CAT. They are both too fucking fat sounding, lead solo, basses, effects, plucks, mono pads, drummies... All sounds!

Haven't been able to find anything anywhere whatsoever on this, and not for lack of trying.

After a little bit of digging, there not only seems to be any news of that (at least from what I had searched), but also the oldest instance of the "preview" was from some Russian music making forum site back in like late 2018, apparently... False alarm...? Maybe? Very convincing mockup if it is.

Edit: the initial post seems to be from 2018, the image posted was from today. Otherwise, nothing else.
