You know how you mentioned it playing back a midi would not work? That is interesting. Can you put any insert effect plugin like pro-Q or whatnot, so you can see the signal leaving the plugin but not yet the channel strip, and then see if you are getting any signal flow from N5 in the various open/closed scenarios?

I would probably get rid of that change location.exe thing, the settings.json file does the same thing.

Also, maybe post the other text only json files contents.

Maybe soon the AI will show up and tell you to reinstall Windows.

In your settings.json, there are some differences with mine. My crashuploadMode is set to 0. Yes, your version number.

Also, is the VST2 path supposed to be there? Maybe try backing up your settings.json to your desktop so you have a copy. That way you can alter this one and not make your problem a new one.

Also, I do not have that line "Use hardware acelleration" at the end, underneath limit animations.

Shouldn't the VST2 path really be VST3 and more like C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\

 

If you don't have important Cubase settings, uninstall it with Revo Uninstaller, clean the folder C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg. And install again.

 

he posted earlier in the thread he reinstalled cubase a few weeks ago. Would either method of uninstall miss deleting this? This would not affect just one plugin.

 

But the interesting thing is that in Studio one works.

 

Quite a bit does not make a lot of sense. My bet it is something really simple and not making much real sense.

Does it open in BlueCat's Patchwork in standalone mode? What about REAPER? Reaper can be very helpful when you are screwing around with any 32bit plugins with jbridge or 32lives... There is always that Steinberg VST live program like their version of gig performer/mainstage

You should get it from someone on the same OS and DAW as you are using. My N5 library is "carpet bombed". It is 27.7k presets and 219gb of content.

I can confirm no audio issues in Cubase 14 too.
Randomly I get an occasional graphic glitch but nothing debilitating.

I did understand. I downloaded one big "release" for Mac and I haven't changed anything other than the names of the Artist Series packs.

When you installed this newest version, does the Windows version have a new "clean install" option which wasn't there previously?
That would probably be the same result or better. At least the directory locations would be default Windows settings. From a Mac will just screw you up more if anything.

Did all those changes to settings.json not do anything?

 

I have reinstalled Nexus in the last 5 days I think 20 times, sometimes I updated from the first five version, sometimes I directly installed the latest one.

And I also tried to do a clean install instead of an update.

The only thing that I've changed Everytime was the library path in the json
