Pink Floyd at Pompeii – MCMLXXII, the groundbreaking 1972 film directed by Adrian Maben, returns to cinemas in Spring 2025. Trafalgar Releasing and Sony Music Vision will release the concert film in select cinemas and IMAX worldwide from 24 April and tickets are on sale from 5 March here.

it comes with the original format and a wide screen version.

the music is pretty much the same,but they are some additional footage and some computer graphics.

both would be worth seeing in a theater..

Echoes is a great cut on the big screen especially if one has perhaps an altered sense of consciousness due to herbal or other influences..

if you can afford both, do the theater experience and get the dvd (or rip) and relive it a home whenever you like..

its as close to a time machine as you are likely to find in this lifetime...

 

if you find this band charming,
you might as well hunt around for the "Live at Earl's Court" and "Live in Venice" both are available on bluray.

 

These four days in October '71 give you, the spectator , a sense of freedom and that anything is possible.

Saw it at a midnight showing in Ottawa 1973 tripping on blotter.
The whole theater became the screen.
Had to watch it again on VHS years later cause I couldn't remember the first time
