Sorry to be a pain, I have seen the copious replies to Superior Drummer 3, I do already have other Toontrack instruments from our sister site. However not Superior Drummer 3.

From my investigations most of the postings appear to be updates, do I need a basic superior Drummer 3 package? or, can I install one of the updates and the various kits also posted.

If I do need to download a particular version of it to facilitate this where can I can I find it.

You will need a base and can apply the latest update to my knowledge

You will need to download the core library, which is ~200gb in size and divided on 5 parts. I think you need only part 1 and 2 tho

 

Just to note - you only need the core library if you actually want to use it - SD3 runs just fine without it. (My current install only uses SDX and EZX expansions)

 

Regardless of whether you run the core lib or not the updates will still need to be applied to bring the SD3 so, vst, aax, etc, up to version 3.37. Otherwise a lot of the newer libraries will complain that the versioning is off...
