The videos where she's mixing music seem like they are genuine, but then again, you could teach a monkey how to DJ. Also, the comments on the video with the most views are disabled...

Dunno, it all seems very sus and cringe, and forced. No kid behaves like that without adult instruction.

Honestly, I am extremely well educated and have a better than good understanding of the English vocabulary. Not that this matters because my take on communication has become very simple with age.
It is only a problem if we cannot understand what someone is trying to say with us. I do not pull anyone up on their spelling or grammar unless they are being a dick.

I completely understand why anyone learning English has major problems with it. I have also found a lot of people who have English as their second language have a better command of it than some natives.
As a small example - There, their, they're and whether/weather. They sound the same. More ESOL people get these right than a lot of natives.

If I understand someone that suffices to me unless they directly ask me to i.e. if they said it correctly. I have a German friend who is incredibly articulate and he freely admits his English is not good yet he is able to express himself exceptionally well and better than some English only language people I have come across. Truth. :)

I ignore typos unless I cannot understand someone, and even then, I say I do not understand rather than pointing at them, so they can put it hopefully in a way I can understand it.

I think it is the intentional obfuscating of the language, by sliding the meaning of words, so they nearly become the opposite of what they once meant. of course texting is not helping language at all, and in the USA Cursive writing (and reading) is no longer taught in many schools. I had a 23 year old friend and she was very proud that she taught herself cursive (something I learned at 6 years of age) and truth be told I was proud of her for making the effort and having the desire to improve herself and her mind.

Yes English is an amalgam of French, german, and bits of nordic, and roman/latin/italian. Its quite a casserole of words and meanings, always at least 12 ways to say the same thing with just a bit different twist. Thats a feature not a bug..

Absolutely! The perversion of any language could almost be called a crime. English also has ancient Latin in it e.g. bus (Omnibus)... it is a culmination of derivatives from many languages. Accidental misuse is fine, but when people use it for surreptitious purposes, it becomes distasteful. It is also a bad human trait to forget where we all came from. We all started somewhere. Good on you for your encouraging nature :)

Discovered her recently, it's kinda wholesome thing, all of her's DJ-ing stuff, but I draw the line on fake DJ/producer females, I really have issues with Debora's, Amelie's and all of them in this scene, OnlyFans DJ's, looking fuckable while dancing on pre recorded set and cherry on top now you are are a music producer all of sudden, yeah I know, you get better bookings trending on charts.. This poor girl will end up in same shit when she get's older and she isn't that child DJ-ing from bedroom anymore, but competing with all those sluts for clout, hope she can do better then that.

i'm gonna go against the grain here and say i think she's legit. when your a kid and you're passionate about something, you learn and soak it up so easily. you get kids writing songs in bands, what's so different about kids producing tracks in ableton? do i think she's a master at sound design at this stage? probably not. but do i think she could put a track together? definitely. i was making hard house tracks on OctaMED when i was 12/13. they weren't amazing, but i taught myself enough to be able to make something cause i had the passion and the time/energy to keep making mistakes until i found out how to get where i wanted to be, and that was with no guidance or help. this kid has the internet at her fingertips, she has the passion for the music and all the time in the world to learn her craft. in 97, A-Trak won the DMC World Championships (skratching competition for those not in the know) at 15 and everyone was mind blow. fast forward to 2017 and Rena won it at 12. don't dismiss a kids abilities to do something complex based on their age.

Texting is the best thing to have happened to the many Swiss-German dialects in regard to writing. It is not taught in schools, High German is what is read and is written from kindergarten through university. It has kind of brought people together.

Maybe they are real, but the hands playing the piano look oversized to me. It's like something you might see in an older, imperfect deepfake video.
the dj's hand in front of the plant looks possibly edited in this picture; due to the change in color being more abrupt than you might expect from natural lighting. The spaces between the plants leaves in front of the staircase also look unnaturally blurry. They could be real possibly, but I can also see why someone could think they aren't. I wouldn't guess that just because someone seems too good at something for their age.

At the very least she's being pushed to communicate in a OTT form of that youtube talk which is just soulless and destructive, it puts a cynical veneer on the person's real personality. You're just conscious you watching something fake, it's definitely not positive.

I post pictures of random people's dinners then claim I dine on raw, whole scotch-bonnets with jalapeƱo chasers when, in real life, I'm korma to my core.

It's not about DJing. It's about producing that track.

I am curious why you capitalized the words "child" and "audio".
(Side note: An apostrophe is used to show ownership. The plural of "prodigy" is "prodigies".)

[Edit: I had not seen your later post where you discuss English grammar and not correcting others, but rest assured I do not think you were being a dick , and I hope I am being respectful in manner.
I also see English as troublesome and feel regret and even a bit of shame (even though it's not MY fault) that it became an international standard.
And I am genuinely curious about the capitalization of the first letter of certain words.]

Actually, while you are correct on one hand, either is acceptable. As for ownership, maybes or maybe's is a response not ownership. It depends on context. I figure you mean 'belonging to?' Semantics perhaps, but still, it relies on context. I agree it gets confusing with compound words, invariable plurals, nouns and proper nouns, irregular plurals, so on and so forth, but they exist.

That is interesting. I never thought about it. Perhaps it was subliminal because in comprehension finding the main points, where the subject child was supposedly incapable of doing the audio involved?
I did not do a psychoanalysis of my response. If I looked at it grammatically, it would be incorrect capitalisation I suppose, but I did not sit there analysing whether it was worthy of a dissertation. :winker:

P.S. - that's not English, that is American, capitalisation is English.

No, English. For the same reason a Professorship in every International English country in the world except America requires a specific number of publications in what was called 'Proper English'.
    'Z' is an Americanism. Analyse/Analyze - Organise/Organize - Flavour/Flavor - Colour/Color.
I am not saying it is better because America got that part right in my opinion with Professorships, as it is more in line with the amount of experience a person has, not given solely by how many documents they can spit out.
