timebombs aren't the issue. go twiddle any random slider in the matrix window for 20+ seconds. then click around the gui and watch it disappear before your eyes. it's an issue... doesn't matter which crack you use - they all have the bug.

It's not a bug if it is doing exactly what it was programmed to do. it does not happen with the legit version. Or it is the bug which "was added by cracker" in r2r mention in the beyond 15k nfo file. If they are all starting with the patcher from VR's website; it's just getting carried over into later releases.

 

where the bug came from is inconsequential at this point. if the "legit" version doesn't contain the bug then it may corroborate the whole cracker induced scenario - whoop-de-doo... at any rate it needs to be fixed if the thing is going to be of any use at all.

 

Yeah the lack of a Mac version made me realize just how much I really like Serum & now with the release of version 2 I have to buy it now.
Hell right now it's only $189.00

Personnaly until I make money with my music I will never buy a plugin, no matter if it's worth or not.

There is thousand of plugins worth buying if you think like that we should all spend 10000 dollar to buy them, only professional who get money with their music can do that and if you want to buy it that's up to you buy you are out of the subject here.


Otherwise none of the version work for the moment, I think they're searching how to break the synth drm

 

It‘s sooo funny how people react negatively after they get suggested to buy it, because Steve made a great deal for us.

I've been using the V.R TCD release daily since it landed and haven't had any negative side effects yet.

 

I'd like to think R2R have not released a version of it, because they would like to see the guy make his money off the initial flood of sales. And waiting to see what DMG Audio style timebombs are in store. Those will not be immediate, if anything like the plugins in the DMG bundle.

There is nothing about Serum which doesn't fall under the "Support The Good Developer" idea. Nice product, free updates, no intrusive protection, no bs marketing. No annoying DRM on content. Being difficult to crack does not make it an intrusive protection method.
Too expensive? For $150 I've been using it close to daily for 7 years +. That is Logic territory.

 

After a few minutes of playing with it I get the "boobs" crash 133780085.

But I symlinked my Serum 1 presets & wavetable folders, etc and it scans them with amazing speed compared with Serum 1.

For Serum 1 i'd even made a batch file to switch between a slimmer presets setup and a large complete preset folder for when I don't want to wait for the long rescanning, but Serum 2 handles it like a champ.

 

Ok, I've asked 'cause I've fought a lot several hours tryin' to find a non-bombed Serum for macOS, v1.301 still works charmly.

 

It's the same on the win side.. Selected SerumV1 (1.38 something?? something) is still the only non-buggy/bombing version.

 

The V.R.+TCD crack doesn't timebomb (from my testing anyway) - but the matrix slider thing IS present in all V2 cracks.

 

Hi, in that version if I don't use the mod matrix at all does everything else work OK?

 

As far as I know it seems ok otherwise, but don't quote me. I just verified the anomalous behavior by testing it. Still using v1 here until a proper working v2 gets released.

 

Yeah this has worked for me too still on tcd since release definitely one of the best vsti I've used over the years

 

Not sure, but my Guess is we won't see R2R Serum 2 for Loooooong time.

I think R2R supports Steve anyways - and would avoid this.

Serum 1 R2R was also difficult to get .. so just my thoughts.
