How does their activation work? Is it just a matter of installing and using it, or do you need to request a release code, etc...

I used the following download link from @vexd and it works. After that you get all the plugins which you can then install.
Just click on the Setup. Thats all! Big Thanks to @vexd!

Dear Lord, the file is 3.1GB! Is there Uranium bundled in with this?

 

Pretty obvious, because nowadays almost every DAW has immersive plugins.
