Be more specific! Some use the old elicencer so whont work, unless you have the latest VR soft elicencer installed. Some recent update changed to new licencing and does work, portico bundle is not and will not be updated and needs dongle.

There is a yamaha fx suite by R2R. But here the official one works too (v3.0). Basic and advanced suite, you need both for all plugs, R2R version includes both.
Did you do the trick that you copy one R2R dll to the steinberg licencing folder from the instructions and do you have the lates R2R version, it was updated not to long ago, silk emulator 1.3.

Well, I certainly hope all the spectacle features are worth the hassles some are going through, if they are cool... but I don't get the massive 'minimum requires' of current cubase, for what? 8 GB RAM?... Now that was a good amount say 10 years ago when you could run cubase off 2 GB still... Just doing a comparison here I don't get into arguments with peeps online, never works, extremely stupid...

    Current requires-
    [IMG]

Now requires for Cubase VST24 3.70 from 1999-

Current Cubase requires 250 times the RAM (Let alone machine speed, acceleration, etc) that of 3.70 so say the machines I use have 2-4 GB RAM which ain't much nowadays but run old 3.70 like a sports car to have my ratio with this old cubase if using NEW cubase you would probably need 120-150 GB RAM....

I know what you say "HaHAW!! You can't do shit in that old worthless version!!" Really? Here are some 'modern' synths running in it just fine much overhead still no problem the only prob was using Serum as it has to have GUI closed to work others no problem all sound great...

The upshot is that I could probably convince many I made a particular tune in current cubase using old 3.70 but I certainly would not using this-
    [IMG]

    But these all would do-

OK then just observation here... I am not saying for anyone to go back 26 years but would it not be beneficial in some instances to go back 2-4-6 versions to avoid all the headache? Plus gain some RAM ratio? I am certain a part of that minimum 8GB RAM is for spying/protection anyways...

I understand why many people do not like feeling that they have to upgrade their entire computer to accommodate a new release.

I see the same thing with every type of software, whether 3D Modelling, CAD, the latest games and more.
I think if everyone looked at the new features with new CPU's, GPU's, faster everything, they rewrote a lot of their software to take full advantage of the new hardware that their software can function better or faster in, or a new idea that would not work with the previous technology.
I do not honestly believe they made a set of recommended compatibility specifications to spite all of their users and lose their user base in the process.

Yes those are the old licencing system and need the fake elicencer from VR. But I am not sure what version you are installing from where. I do have the collection installed and working. Not the stomp boxes, cause I dont want those.
I think I have them from this Yamaha.VST.Rack.Plug-in.Set.v1.0.CE-V.R

thanks for reply. i have the r2r current setup,so from what i have read online if i installed the vr licensing setup it would derail my r2r cubase.
    thanks anyway.

No no not the latest VR steinberg stuff, I use R2R too for C14 etc. No the old elicence emulator, b26 I think. It is in the yamaha package and does not screw with the new licencing (Legit or R2R). If you can find the vst rack v2 software, that is new licencing. The other one is v1 and soft elicencer.

Oh wait that is the wrong one, that one has issues just not with the r2r. Just does not fully work
Must be this one Yamaha.VST.Rack.Plug-in.Set.v1.0.CE-V.R, not sure if it is still arround
