Hello @JohnnyBoy023, now you also know and feel the ignorance of the society you live in.

I really like your song; it's very diverse and powerful.

    Quick comments

I'd say progression-wise it needs a bit of work - you should lose the main bassline in the intro for openers or at least to begin with so you get a better intro vibe IMO as when you really expect it to kick in around the minute (if you were DJing) it doesnt really change that much because you already have 2 bassline layers in the intro bit. I'd line it up against some reference tracks and compare your intro with theirs in terms of how much is going on early on in the track.

Some of the sweep fx definitely need a bit more of a low cut so they keep away from your main basslines a bit I'd say too and in general i think you need to low-cut a few elements a touch more as there's quite a bit of low end clarity lacking between the basses and synths. Also mixdown wise i'd say some elements like the brass horn and the pluck lead need to come down at least a db or 2 in gain. Your kick should ALWAYS be the dominant element with this stuff with the basses just behind unless you're making say D&B whereas some of your leads and that brass horn are pretty much as loud as the kick.

In terms of ear candy i think it could also use a few more white noise and similar fx as well just to keep the listener interested and some of the builds in general are a bit 'meh' (e.g. 2:18) - you really don't have much of a build other than a bit of an uplifter and the tune kicks back in - compare that drive/build with some of your favourite refence tracks and you'll generally find the pro ones have massively more build/filtering/fx. Same with the breakdown into 3:06 - it just kinda drops away but other than a sweep there's no proper build beforehand to work a crowd. The fx/build/ear candy in general are what can show a big difference between amateur and pro tracks.

In terms of lengths I'd agree 7+ mins is too long - you could speed up the build from the intro and between breaks pretty easily and save 90 secs off that I reckon.

Deffo a decent start mate with a few tweaks that could be a solid track.

Hi, thank you for your feedback, very precise and well articulated. I agree with you, i kinda need to work more in detail with what i bounce / sample and how i make use of it, proper EQ'ing is also important but it gets hard when you try to fill a track, kinda have to compromise with samples and other elements. I am very quick when i make a track, like in the flow zone, so i should wait with uploading when i finish a track, and come back later to the mix, i've been skipping that part, all pros says so, let a track lie for a week or two then come back and work on it..

Very good feedback, thank you so much! I understand what your saying, some things is preference ofc but overall there is a lot that could be better and altered better as you commented.

Thanks again, i will make use of the feedback!

    Klaus Schulze:

KS: I do not "write" music in a classical sense. My kind of working is best described as "improvisation". This is not exactly the right word for it, but it comes close to my kind of working. I play around, and slowly a piece of music emerges out of that.

There are two ways of inspiration. One is the figurative image like in a movie or an opera, the other is just music in itself, with no pictures. Both come from life, from my life, my past, and my present. It comes rarely from other musicians, never from other records.
Very different is my work on soundtracks for films: I have to make the music fit in with the movie, which means a stronger discipline, especially in timing.

Normally when I compose, and play the first note, I don't know what note will follow. Even when it's finished, it isn't, because it happens that I do change some notes or sounds or phrases after I listened to the piece. I think, that is quite normal with composers for hundreds of years.

Q: During the course of time, how have you changed as a composer?

KS: Of course I changed during the last 24 years, since I do solo albums. Just listen to my older and my newer music, there is a development. In each era everything is different: Me, my instruments, the audience, the circumstances, the fashions... It is a most normal thing that an artist grows and changes - at least it should be.

You have very good creative phases and not-so-creative phases, unfortunately, you can't just flick through them at the touch of a button. I think you're on the right track. Sometimes a new idea just comes... practically out of nowhere! That's the beauty of music, because human creativity is infinite. You probably know novelists who suffer from writer's block!

Yeas i know of this very well, i comes and goes, ive written idk 15 tracks since december and now recently ive been strugglin but it goes away and the flow comes back, there is ways to find the flow, like meditating and listening to other music and stuff. But i have been doing some rly good tracks then less good, its a process to become pro, but im feeling improvement for sure, but then its blank some days, i hate that !!!
Luckily it goes away, i guess its about how much fun you are having, serum 2 is out and man it is fun! i never used serum thought is sounded trashy, but now serum 2 has changed my mind, its a bit overwhelming but im gonna learn it, which will improve my sounddesign. Hopefully :)

Creative windows you may call it, im feeling it now so gonna make something :)

You have a positive attitude, you meditate ~ Great! Somehow, you get on with it...!
You should recharge your batteries every now and then and do something completely different, otherwise you'll resemble a robot.

Problem identified - danger averted! Rest for a while, enjoy the songs/work you've already done.
People take vacations in normal working lives, too!

Remember, you're not alone with this problem; some people even get tendonitis and have to take a break. Maybe you can focus on other things like your website, write lyrics, back up your data, take new photos, etc.! Take a two-week vacation.

Yeah im actually studying music theory and some other classes, today will be my last track making day then i will pick up the slack in school, creating music is so hard when the block comes and i try so hard to overcome it. But i can give it a rest ive made a lot of music in short time.

A break is coming after today :)

To me, this seems very well produced. Bear in mind I have no references to compare this to, as I don't listen to techno music, but it's undeniable your track is evolving, consistent and 'tells a story'.

If I were to give a naïve feedback (considering I know so little about the idiom), I'd say you could explore more chopping and slicing on your transitions and elsewhere, make strategic use of well placed silence bits, make it 'stutter' a little, for added surprise, tension and release. Also, I'd go for a selection of licks and samples that pop up only once or twice in the track... While that might seem to break cohesion and minimalism, for my taste it would add variation, impart a 'wild' and 'live' sensation (akin to that of a jam session) and, less importantly, make your audience feel like you have ideas to spare. God bless your music!

Thanks for your feedback, it doesn't matter if you don't listen to it, it gives a certain feeling anyway, and the things you are suggesting is stuff im working on, like adding stutter FX etc, yeah you break the minimal genre if you go too much with sampling, depending on what it is ofc.

    Good feedack.

    Thanks :)
