This below? The VM has nothing to do with it. The external disk has nothing to do with it, as long as the keygen was run from the system disk so the correct machine ID was captured. Wifi disabled, ethernet cable disconnected. Do you suggest he disable the network card? No-one else having that problem. Did you even mention the 6.5.1 problems people had? I don't even use this DAW.

It's very easy to jump into a thread and say something like that, after someone else has already done the majority of the work. And somehow you managed to still not get it fixed.

Even GPT knows this: The MAC address of a VM is independent of the host system's MAC address and is tied to the virtual NIC in the VM. In some cases, you can configure the MAC address manually, but by default, the virtualization software ensures each VM has a distinct address.

When you want simple, methodical step-by-step instructions; AI is very good at generating such instructions. I'll take that over random guessing any day of the week, like your post about basic networking. Guessing and working out of order and "just trying stuff" is what got him into his predicament in the first place. So choosing between an AI, someone randomly guessing, and some windows users; Ai.

 

did you tried runinng it as admin? sudo /Applications/Studio\ One\ 6.app/Contents/MacOS/Studio\ One
it will reset the shhhhh out of it. "IMPORTANT" it will reset everything like the first day, except your presets and your songs, but it will reset your plugin (full scan), i will love to know what you did cause that command worked fine in my old laptop. in my new one i'm having the same issue, even i'm legit. so frustrating that thing. presonus support is a shit!

Thanks so much Kags! You're the absolute goat for fixing my issue too. I had installed DynAssist in the past and had the trial still on my computer. I was actually planning to buy it, but it didn't quite live up to my expectations. but I forgot about it since then and never thought it could be the problem.

Maybe Studio One should specify that an ARA plugin license is the issue or something clear like that.
Anyway, thanks again for your help! You're amazing!

 

I was sure the problem was Studio One because the message seemed to be from PreSonus. I think the confusion happens because it’s an integration. Glad you were able to resolve that annoying message!
