After we had finished a recording session for another library, we left all the mics in place, cranked the pre-amps and recorded a few minutes of 'nothing'. By doing this, we captured the natural 'air' of the hall which, if mixed very quietly beneath sampled instruments, can add some extra life and realism to your mockup, as if it was recorded in a real space.

When the 'Host Transport' mode is engaged, the room tone will automatically play when the host DAW is playing. There are also options to have the sound triggered by MIDI notes, or to have it playing at all times.

Room Toms
This library also features an epic organic hybrid percussion patch called Room Toms. The patch consists of a range of low and high synthetic, cinematic drums, all made entirely out of the Room Tone recording!

Very interesting stuff. The silent air environment (sav... I like that haha) can be really useful for creating realistic orchestral performances. Combine sav with VSS 2.0 and that with a nice reverb... Ah, yes. I do believe they call such delightful things... heavenly. Thanks for bring this to our attention!

 

Does anyone still have a copy of these available. I'm a collector of good free libraries and would love to keep these in my collection.
