:dunno: There's a lot of posts in this thread that don't fit this genre. lol
I should start a thrash thread though, I could probably post 1000 albums in there.

Agree with @Xupito, and I never liked how the girls in Baby Metal are just the eye candy in front of a guys band.
But the real deal (with the same silly cute image) is this band.
I love these girls. Especially the drummer. She's about the same size as a muppet but she could kick most 'tattooed gorilla' heavy metal drummers off stage just with her precision. A great band.
    Band Maid

    UPDATE:
Recommendation: assemble the playlist shown below. (mp3s are out there somewhere)
It's just a personal choice 'Best of' playlist from two older albums 'Brand New Maid' and 'New Beginning'

    01. Freedom (from Album 'Brand New Maid')
    02. Thrill (from Album 'New Beginning')
    03. Real Existence (from Album 'New Beginning')
    04. Look at Me (from Album 'Brand New Maid')
    05. Before Yesterday (from Album 'Brand New Maid')
    06. Order (from Album 'Brand New Maid')
    07. Freezer (from Album 'New Beginning')
    08. Alone (from Album 'Brand New Maid')
    09. The Non Fiction Days (from Album 'Brand New Maid')

What's also great here (for me) is they sing in Japanese.
So, I haven't the faintest idea what they're singing about and that doesn't matter at all!
No distraction from lyrics - her voice is just another instrument - great!

Yeah you do! I was about to ask if you were going to because you have Thrash down to a science.

My metal listening is pretty limited these days, it's just sometimes Meshuggah, Carcass, some other grind stuff. But there's one record that's just pure perfection: Atheist - Unquestionable Presence (I might actually prefer Elements, but the mastering is absolutely horrid on that one it's hard to listen to):

I did stumble on these guys several years ago too. They have a pretty good sound that I like (I love thrash), but the vocal style was a little tough for me to get used to. Cool band though.

I saw them before Metallica in '97. They rocked.. I ended up buying one of their albums (Wiseblood, I believe).

As far as my fave(s).... I'm a big fan of thrash, so my favorite band probably all time is Metallica... Megadeth as well. Not so much now that both have lost their lustre... but I do listen to their old albums still, of course. My fave current metal band is Gojira. I also really like Alice in Chains (with Layne), albeit not what most people would call metal. Death Angel also one of my more fave old bands (is this too many now? I can't pick one hahaha)

Most metal I like isn't very metal by modern standards... but hey, no one can dis Priest and "metal" is right in the name of the song, it must be okay
