Pro Tools 2021.7 Ultimate AAE Error -9173

    Getting frequent AAE -9173 Errors, but no other errors ...
    even, when playing back multiple audio tracks without any inserts at all.

    Changing the hardware buffer size does not fix the error .
    For a few times I manage to re-start playback, then Pro Tools goes to the state,
    where the only option is to re-launch the program .

    Sorry, I'm repeating myself, but ...

    Even playing back a session with only a click track gives AAE -9173 errors and the only way to resolve this is to relaunch Pro Tools and after that it does the same thing, again and again .

    Running out of cpu - power and should increase hw - buffer-size or remove native plugins, etc .

    I have gone through various optimizations gathered around here and there .
    But the system is plain to say ... useless .

    My projects are on a external Seagate USB2 - drive .

    PC Specs ...

    Windows 10 Pro Version 20H2 .
    Motherboard MSI Z390 A-Pro .
    System Memory 32Gb .
    Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-9100F CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHz
    Graphics MSI GT710

    Windows updates disabled as well as Windows Defender .
    So, nothing should be running in the background .

    BIOS tweaked as guided by Avid's specs .
    Hyperthreading , C-State, Turbo Boost, SpeedStepping all disabled .

    CPU Affinity tweak done
    Intel Management engine --> power option unchecked

    I can surely tell it's not a plugin issue,
    for I can't even play back a session with no plugins / inserts .

    I have no problems running REAPER on this computer .
    Not a glitch, whatsoever ...

    4. Optimize your interface for Pro Tools. You may need to contact your hardware manufacturer regarding this.
    5. Update Pro Tools to the latest version.
    6. Test your session with your built-in sound device.
    7. Backup and delete the Pro Tools Preferences. Instructions for Mac and Windows.
    8. Check your session on a different user or computer.
