Here we go, first the hdd dies and now my monitor has gone "pop" (borrowed my son's spare for the time being) that's 2 items within the last few weeks, hopefully I will not suffer a third one in the next few weeks?
That's the best thing you can rely on.... When no body have a cure for your problems, you remain your own solution... and that's by not giving up.
Back on topic, i have a certain random clicky pop in one of my cheaper monitors too, i have two pairs, Dynaudio BM5a and Esi Aktiv 08 coupled to a Esi Aktiv 10s sub and one of my Aktiv speakers, sometimes right... sometimes left... but it's just a random click noise which pops, let's say like from 3 and 3 hours interval, but it's not loud. Sometimes when some workers plugged something in the electric socket of my kitchen in the past, i could hear some sound artifacts happening only when they touched the plug to bring it in or to take it out of the socket(and i was yelling at them to be careful, or else i kill them, of course). Check your plugs and see if all your stuff is optimally grounded. But i'm not worrying about my Aktivs, they're pretty solid built and they don't look cheap at all, i can hammer them with a mace and there's a chance (a little one though) to break my mace on them.
Afraid my monitor (video) has completely popped, to be honest its been playing up for the past few months, and I have been working away from home for a few days, and thus with the pc not being switched on, it has finally given up. I have a feeling its probably one or two capacitors which have blown, but the problem is can I get replacements? (I am pretty good with a soldering iron) I will strip it apart later this week to confirm my suspicions, but I fear I will need to go and spend lots of pennies on a new one
i'm a noob when it comes to choosing a good monitor. I been looking at monoprice monitors, it seem to be really cheap but i don't know how good they are. http://www.monoprice.com/Category?c_id=113&cp_id=11320
They said thing come in three's. Let hope not :phones: GrEEtZ the Robot Nice suit bro old skool from the days when battles was battles
Damn Now i just figured out that i was actually talking about *audio monitors and not *video as you actually asked. Damn... I was tired enough to make such a mistake. I apologize.
