Probably a stupid question but I'll take my chances.

I have several of the Eastwest libraries but I'm not sure abut the install procedure. The text file says
"
Copy "Previews", "ProductChunks", "products" folders to "%PROGRAMDATA%\East West\".


Obviously you can't have several folders with the same name in one location so how do you copy all the folders involved? Do you copy the individual files within the folders to the Programdata/East West folder or do you create separate folders for each library and put the files there?

I know it's probably a simple answer but it has me confused and I don't want to mess up.

The folder names are the same. The contents are all different. Perfectly fine to copy the entire folders to the specified location. Do exactly as the nfo/text file states. Since the contents are all different, you shouldn't even get a prompt from windows. All works perfectly when followed correctly.

Was just thinking about this collection today. I own the updated Opus versions, but I regret deleting classic release as its quite useful for a little Vienna Ensemble Pro machine without needing another license to run simultaneously. SIgh...I may have to take a chance with my internet provider.

 

Good morning. I would like to solve this problem....: I installed and purchased Opus orchestra about 900 GB of original libraries. Until a few days ago other libraries like Gipsy, Silk etc... worked fine without an EW license. Unfortunately I updated ilok and now silk gipsy etc ask for a license. Opus is fine because it is correct. How can I make the other libraries work on Opus? I also installed PLay r2r and the libraries still work well, unfortunately I find in Opus the libraries do not work unless I delete the .ewl files, but then they do not work in Play. I can delete the non-working libraries in Opus and keep them in PLay but how? Thanks

 

You can't use them in opus, since you don't have a license for them. The only way is to still use those on EW Play.

There is a directory pointer in settings in both Opus and Play. While I only use Opus legit, it would seem logical if you are asking to have different libraries showing up in each, that you move the folders/directories you want for play into a completely different and new folder. Then point play to the new folder you just created.
Each folder you wish to move to the new play folder from the main folder should be evident by name and it should have *.ewui and *.ewus files of the same within the folder. Move the entire folder(s) you want play to find into the new folder/directory you pointed play to.

NEXT - I am assuming you purchased Opus so you will have the EastWest installation center. Open it. If it does not do a product catalog update on load, click the upper right button (piccy below) and select 'Refresh product list'.
Close it and open Opus. Opus should only show the registered products now.

THERE IS A PROBLEM the three folders PRODUCTS PRODUCT CHUNKS and PREVIEWS WHERE DO I PUT THEM. R2R SAYS IN EAST WEST folder .....in PROGRAM DATA EAST WEST. BUT IF I PROCEED LIKE THIS...THEN OPUS WILL ALSO READ THAT FOLDER AND I WILL FIND MYSELF AGAIN AT THE STARTING POINT WITH OPUS reading the Play library----

 

This is an area I am unsure of because I only use Opus and a hacked Play I do not know enough to be of use. You get play with OPUS when you buy it as you have purchased it according to your original post.
You will have to ask someone who has successfully installed R2R's. Sorry I cannot help you with that. I think if you search the forums, someone would have another thread on this where you should find information on R2R's.
