Hi. I think the composition is ok, but the mix is not there. There is too little sub/bass. The kick is at times too loud and sometimes it gets lost and it does not have a good foundation, it lacks in the lows. In the parts after the break, the synths are too loud compared to the kick/bass. In general make sure the bass is about as loud as your kick as well as the snare/claps. Then balance the other elements accordingly.
Overall the balance is not right. The lower frequencies need more weight in comparison to the highs.

Try and check if your kick and bass are out of phase. It seems like you are loosing a lot of bass when they play together

I'm with mino45 here the levels of elements in the mix definitely needs rebalancing.

This is where using reference tracks whilst you're mixing your own track will help - load up a couple of your favourite same genre tracks (ideally the same key as well) and balance your own track against the reference track. That will help you avoid some of the mix issues you have here.

I think the drums were OK, Too much music nowadays has drums way too loud i don't know why other than it's an instrument anyone can play... Yes, the upfront synth was a bit loud but a bit too much bickering about the mix which is a creative choice, what would you say if it was bluegrass? All the creator has to do is say the particular mix is 'what he was going for'...

No, I am more interested in the 'Melodic Techno' moniker as listening to this & some others so named I find no melody whatsoever, repeating synth riffs is not melodic as it is like 'Techno with a few extra riffings'... I guess anything goes for genre titles certainly not everything I make is melodic but the stuff that is I better rename it 'Mega-Melodic Jazz-Rock'... add that one to the over 5,000 genre's...

Pretty good tune overall, nice you put in pauses & breaks I would make them more stark & a bit longer... Mariachi bands used to play very long songs 20 minutes or so and to wake the crowd up & bring them back they would full stop for a measure or two...

I'm afraid that's not great advice and its clear you aren't a fan of this style of track. There's a very good reason why drums (specifically the kick) are loud and why you don't have overly long breakdowns in club music - they dont work on a dancefloor. At the end of the day folks making house, trance, techno etc are making it for clubs and DJs not for easy listening at home. There's a reason why the mixdown and progression of a typical/well known track is done in the way it is and thats because it works well on a dancefloor.

New producers are welcome to try and go off-grid and do things their own way but then don't be surprised when no labels will touch you because tracks needs to sound comparable when played in a club alongside other tracks in the same genre.
