I have a problem too. Maybe someone can help me.
I have a BEHRINGER U-PHORIA UMC22 sound card and I use ASIO4ALL. In Cubase, in Studio Setup I get a fairly high latency, ~11.xx .
How can I fix the problem?

The website shows that asio4all is used as a driver. I looked for other drivers, but I only found this one that was compatible and gave me the lowest latency possible.

haha behringer literally has the ASIO4All installer as their driver

native ASIO drivers will always better, if there are some ...

I know why i didnt bought an interface from behringer.

Also i changed the thread name and added "BEHRINGER U-PHORIA UMC22".

11ms is quite okay, you can get better latency if you bought an interface which has a decent native driver.

Go to Cubase's audio settings, there you should be able to pick up ASIO4All as the driver and access the control panel. Open that up and adjust "ASIO Buffer Size". Depends what you want but sizes of 256 and below should get you below 10ms round trip.

You might also try the Steinberg Generic ASIO driver as it's guaranteed compatible with Cubase, but I don't know how that'd work with your Behringer.

Thats by using their native driver for the UMC202HD - You could try installing that.
Its called a UMC driver and does not specify the 202HD
    Worth a shot anyway.

That's why you always go for the HD Version. It is so much better in every way.

The lower end stuff really doesn't have ASIO drivers, only the mid to higher end stuff they make. I gave my brother a UM2 a few years ago and that was also the case.

I think your high latency is just a case of not knowing how to use ASIO4ALL properly, you're probably using a high buffer size. The latency you listed is typical 2048 samples for most interfaces.

They should be joking. For me, It would be the strict reason not to buy this audio interface.

For some reason they don't offer this driver anymore, and point you towards ASIO4ALL. Use this instead. I can't remember now where I found this, so obviously use at your own risk.

Not exactly. I have a UMC404HD with 192kHz, which uses a native Behringer driver. The sound is pristine, and it's a very decent budget-friendly option.

Yep correct, although the HD version is newer if i recall correctly. I do have a UMC 204HD to test pcs (mainly laptops) and for 90 euros i paid for it, there's nothing close, it will go down to 3 ms @ 96khz with np.
So, the latest drivers for the HD interfaces (version 5.xxx) most likely will not work with the non HD interface. There is an old driver that may do the job. Here:

    Cheers
EDIT: Oh! @bwzrd already posted the same driver. Just saw this. My bad.

Folks, if you've got a gripe with Behringer and/or ASIO4ALL, that's fine, but maybe moaning about those here is not helping the OP. How about you take it elsewhere?

@tturaul Have you checked the ASIO4ALL control panel from Cubase? When you click "Control Panel" for your device, do you get the control panel?

It should look something like this:

Take note of the buffer size at the bottom, that should be 256 or below for decent latency. Then select your interface from the device list like the NVIDIA interface in this example, do not try to use several interfaces at the same time. The other settings should be set off.

If you don't get this control panel, then try reinstalling ASIO4ALL, get the latest version from here: https://asio4all.org/about/download-asio4all/ (note there are two downloads there, the one with SCN in the name is older Chinese language version, skip that and get ASIO4ALL_2_16.exe instead). When installing select "Off-line Settings" which is not default. Now you can launch the A4A settings and set defaults from there, but Cubase might override that so you should really try it from there instead.

I always wondered what the Buffer Offset and the Latency Compensation values are for?

By the way I have some budget interfaces as well (besides expensive ones), I often have problems with them on Windows but they work fine on Mac. On Mac you don't need to set anything only the buffer in the DAW. On Windows you need to do more things. If the OP has the option to use Cubase on Mac, that is the simpliest and fastest solution.

I am aware Behringer says ASIO4ALL and that's it but have you tried the driver from the link i posted? I am curious because i had this client with a laptop and a UMC202 (not HD) and the HD driver wouldn't work, then i looked around and found the old Behringer UM driver worked just fine, the card would go as low as 64 samples buffer @ 48k without any audible artifacts. That's the driver that bwzrd posted and me being quick i didn't notice and posted the same driver on another link.
    Cheers

Yes this is the proper Behringer driver for some of the older interfaces it is the one also needed for the Behringer Guitar link UCG102 & U-PHORIA UMC22, yes this is very difficult to find since the ASIO4All occasionally crashes them and doesn't work as well. behringer doesn't seem to care about archiving older drivers after purchasing their products. Thanks I will put this on a flashdrive and store it with the units.

The Buffer Offset is only for WaveRT devices, which bypasses some of the Windows internals, technically allowing better latency, but as most low latency audio work bypasses the old kernel infrastructure (KS/kernel streaming) this might not help that much. IMO it's only worth a try if you can't set ASIO buffer low or it causes crackles.

The latency compensation is a tricky one, but some cards have inaccessible buffers of their own and they don't report it so recording can be slightly delayed and out of sync, this is basically compensating for those. So basically it's how latency is reported to a DAW or other audio software.

Hello @tturaul, the test gave the following result:

    44.1 kHz and 128 samples

At the maximum sample rate of 48 kHz and the smallest buffer of 32 samples, the latency is 5.02 ms.
At everyday values of 44.1 kHz and 128 samples, the value increases to around 8 ms.
