[Male Perspective] Women are as different/individual as men are and people either 'work together' or don't. To have a complete distrust of our female counterparts because of mans limited experience of different groups of people in the world is just stupid... Life is a journey, people come & go, love freely and enjoy the time you have with someone even if its not forever.

 

Completely agree. Love is great, but too many people think that finding that one perfect person just for them is the right way to go about love. Or that finding love will magically solve all their problems, which is bullshit. That one perfect person just for you simply doesn't exist.

Also, one thing I notice very often is that men complaining about not being able to find someone actually don't like women in the first place, which is sad as fuck.

 

People really tend to confuse that initial rush of intense infatuation with the kind of love that's going to keep you together down through the years and it's not. That's all great but you need to find somebody you're compatible with as a friend and partner, where you can sail through the rough patches and appreciate what you have together that's worth working for, when you're not all awash in hormones and tumescent engorged body parts. Otherwise it's just going to be nothing but drama constantly for the rest of your life and nobody can really deal with that. I mean, guess there are some people that thrive on that but not me.

 

i have a GF of 10+ years. She's great, but its hard. If you want to be successful in ANY relationship, dating, friends, family, professional, whatever, it takes communication, patience, accountability, empathy etc

 

Just bear in mind, it's a lock and key. You can't jam a key in a lock that doesn't match just because you're desperate. Ya gotta wait for the right one however long it takes. And it may not fit the picture you had in your mind either. Be open.

 

When a date ends with "can I call you?" you know something went terribly wrong

using the word "dating" shows a formal way of doing things, and scares the crap out of me. You can be hanging out with someone exclusively...why u have to use that formal word....."Dating"....like its a job or something
