Sounds like a Hofner or a Fender Precision, more likely the first as an educated guess. McCartney also used a Rickenbacker occasionally, so it could be the neck pickup except it sounds too woody and has a semi-acoustic kind of sound which is why I suggested the Hofner.

A Rickenbacker 4001S. He switched from his Hofner for the beefier sound.

Good to know. That's one of the woodiest Rickenbacker sounds I have heard. Too often they are quite metallic.

What @lexeed said. He was touring with that Rickenbacker also. The only possibility of this being a Precision or something else, is that the Wings guitarist plays bass on this track, as in the wiki album page he is also credited of playing the bass on the album, although not mentioned in which song(s) he does so. The style of the playing doesn't show much as well, as the bass part is stuck on simple single root notes, except very few parts.

Used to have a 70s 4001, it had a string damper/mute on the bridge, you could easily tame the metallic sound and get a more woody thump using the neck pickup with the damper engaged.

Paul was all about the woody sound, he managed to get it out of just about any bass he played to some degree or another!
