Hey. Several people asked how to import banks into Blofeld plugin. So, I want to post a small instruction:
    1. click "Presets"
    2. Options - Group - Add Group (name it, e.g. Analog Pearls v.1)
    3. Options - Import Bank (search for SYX or MID of this Analog Pearls v. 1)
    4. It asks where to put it in (choose a group you created before, Analog Pearls v.1)
    5. Go to "Group Select", unselect all, select Analog Pearls v.1 and you see only these presets from this imported bank.
    6. Endzhoi!
    7. Do this with other banks. Don't forget to create and name groups. Each bank for each group. Or they all will be imported in one group.

The problem is all the errors that are generated, especially sample related, although this was lessened by importing the HGF Blofeld Waveset A 128 samples.

Some issues with presets can be fixed by loading them into an editor/librarian, such as Bigglesworth too.

    EDIT,

While I'm at it some tips:

Create a shortcut to your presets folder from the Documents folder

Also create a backup of the database in case you mess up:
    \AppData\Roaming\Waldorf\Blofeld\Presets

Some presets/banks cannot be imported due to unsupported/illegal characters being used (looking at you Che @Radio). Can potentially be fixed manually in editors as well.

I can't figure out how to delete selections of presets, but macrorecorder or similar can automate mouse movements for deletions, but be careful.

I sold the Waldorf - Bloofeld Hardware Snythesizer years ago. It was the Blofeld with the SL Licence option.
I didn't actually use Ä Ü Ö. In other words, I can't tell you why it doesn't import all the presets.

Thanks for the tip, I'll have another look and see if I can find a solution!

If anyone still needs free presets for the Blofeld synthesizer, here is the link:

I was able to import a folder of .bpz files into Blofeld but I cannot seem to figure out how to import a .wdb bank, Transform Soundset by Sonic Sirius. What am I missing?

Don't know. Read what Psychoacoustic posted, maybe you should try reconvert, re-save, re-import with all these blofeld editors, converters....

    It's a downloaded set.

Why would they create it to have to be converted?

Wondering if it's because I have 1.0 Blofeld and maybe I need 1.1

Maybe because it has been initially done for hardware and this is compatible with it and not with software version (not in priority)? Maybe that's why conversion options and other formats to choose exist?

No. I'm running a v1.1 on OSX and not working for me. It's the file format.wdb which is the overall database for the plug in. Typically, any presets you import would be in the .bpz format. To my knowledge, none of the above mentioned libs or processes will convert those file types.

They're not supposed to be shared in .wdb format, but there is a workaround - backup your existing Blofeld.wdb (or your imported presets will be erased!), move the blofeld.wdb into the folder: c: Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\Waldorf

    Then start Blofeld native

Select all of the presets you want to export, then options export selected presets into .bpz. (eg the SS or CHE presets)

    Close Blofeld native.

Then delete the new blofeld.wdb and restore your backed up Blofeld.wdb. Then open a fresh Blofeld native, import the .bpz file you just saved.

As I previously stated, I already tried that and it does not work. Replacing the .wdb file does not show any of the presets from the SS set. It only shows Waldorf presets.

Did you close and open a fresh instance of the plugin?

I literally used the method I described to do this a few hours ago, and I downloaded the latest version of the soundset as linked to by Radio above.

I've attached it (bpz format, zipped), I hope this is okay @Radio

I am not a Mac user and can only say this:

    The Sound Browser Page

    1. Click on the Presets button to open the integrated sound browser page.
    2. To import the blofeld.wdb file, use the plugin's preset browser.
    3. Click on “Import soundsets” and select the blofeld.wdb file

    Blofeld FAQ:

No Presets in Blofeld Plugin - macOS
The required directory was probably not created to the appropriate location in the macOS User Library by the installer due to a lack of access rights.

See the following PDF for a solution – please take a look at the video links.
    https://downloads.waldorfmusic.com/cloud/index.php/s/7MjSAFTMk2ArnXd

Missing presets in my Blofeld plugin. Problem: Due to missing access rights, the plugin cannot create the required folders in the user library. When you start your DAW, the Blofeld plugin should create additional folders in the User Library in the “Presets” folder:

Waldorf/Blofeld/Presets. The required database “blofeld.wdb” is then automatically created there. Due to missing access rights of the plugin or the DAW, the Blofeld plugin cannot create the required folders automatically. Solution: Go to your user library and manually create the Waldorf/Blofeld folders in the “Presets” folder. You will probably have to enter your password when creating the “Waldorf” folder.

The rest will be done by the plugin as soon as the daw has been started. 2. video part from: 34 sec Since the „User“ Library is a hidden system folder you have to open it as following: Click 'Go' in the Finder menu bar, and hold down the 'Option' (Alt) key. The Library entry now appears in the Finder > Go menu. Clicking Library directly opens the hidden User Library folder in a new Finder window.

The only other issue I can think of is if the .wdb is not in the right folder.

In Windows, the .wdb should NOT be placed in the folder with blofeld_empty.wdb or "synth_nyc" or "Factory Presets", the actual blofeld.wdb is in a very different folder.

It's your Transform .wdb preset that I cannot figure out how to import. I'm on 1.1 now and it still isn't allowing me to import it.

    Install Help - Windows

1.) Unrar/Unzip the Soundset - Use WinRar or the Free 7-Zip
2.) Copy & Paste the "Blofeld File" into:
    Note: It's a Hidden Folder
    C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\Waldorf
    3.) Open the Blofeld Plugin:
    a. Use the "Preset" Button
    b. Use the "Group Selection.." Button
    c. Mark the "Sonic Sirius"
