Our birds are also very intelligent, they only eat as much as they need to, otherwise they wouldn't be able to take off if they were too heavy. Only humans sit in front of the television for hours on end, believing all the rubbish they are told and completely forgetting that all the calories they eat to relieve frustration are only burnt through exercise.

 

i noticed years ago, that there is something about stimulating the visual cortex via television that induces eating when not hungry. Back then skinny old me, could eat an entire bag of doritos without noticing it, while watching TV.

a few years later I got rid of the tv, and the cable box.

TV has a number of disturbing qualities, that seem to be deliberately engineered. TV and obesity do seem to follow a chart of travelling together. Over 1/3 of usa is not just overweight, but Obese. This has occurred in the last 25 years.
Just like Autism rates have increased incredibly.

These are not natural phenomena, they are inflicted via behaviour modification, diet and environmental condtions, we can speculate this is true, because, they did not exist in the extreme amounts and geographical distributions, until recently. Much too fast to be "evolution" or anything but environment and learned behaviour.

The small screens, the tablets, the phones have become the substitute or proxy television. Bringing yet another layer of difficulty in assessing exactly what is causing the decline in health, or rather exactly how the interactions occur, but the more screen time, the lower the mental health is a good rule of thumb.

I think i'm going back to weight lifting, its a great way to get your mind out of the world. when you have a hundred pounds in your arms, you aren't really thinking about anything but how to safely raise or lower it.
