Ok so I bought my first midi controller. I got the Novation FL KEY 37, after setting it up through the input/output midi, it will not let me use it for features in FL. It gives an error and says it's not a legit version. I don't know how it knows that, but it won't let me use the recording option or rack selector buttons. Much of the midi controller will not work, so my quesion is, is that if I bought the legit version would I be able to still use cracked Kontakt and other plugins I have installed?

 

That's really very weird. What version of FL are you using? There is a brand new one just released about a week ago on sisite.

Was that keyboard made by Image Line exclusively for FL only? Also, are you using your setup while connected to the internet? That may be an issue as well. Something phoning home and putting a hex on your stuff.

 

Yea I don't know whats going on with it, but yea it's maybe pretty much exclusively for FL. I didn't think about it could be phoning home.

You "legit DAW" has no way of checking registration of other products you use inside it, especially so if they are from different company developers. (example: Logic trying to validate your Arturia licenses. It just checks to see if they are able to be opened) But you should still firewall your DAW application and the plugins if you can. You can also block the imageline domain addresses in your hosts file.

Many people pay for their DAW application, and then run whatever inside it without any problems at all.

If your controller which was made for FL can not function with cracked FL, almost every user would just return it.

I think thats what it did, it's checkiny if my licesnse is legit. I think I'm going to just buy it legit because you get free updates for life and acess to the cloud and shit. I just want to make sure I can still run cracked plugins inside it.

 

I think you haven't figured out anywhere near what you have going on. I wouldn't just throw more money at it until you do. You've had it a day.
I've never used one but it doesn't matter.

I'd rather have the $450 bucks toward the AKAI you want, than FL unlimited for life. Maybe you would pick a cheaper *almost everything* FL for life, so do the math that way. With the $125 you'd get back from the FL controller, and you would be well on your way to that AKAI 37 MPC keyboard, and a copy of REAPER.

That AKAI's main reason for existence is to be FL with physical keys and pads connected to it. You aren't going to learn either one better by splitting your time between both.

 

After you have purchased a new registered version of Fl Studio, you should first backup your data. Then uninstall Fl Studio completely and then restart your PC and install Fl Studio. You will need a working e-mail address. You will receive a one-time code on your e-mail, which you have to enter in a certain time.

I also have a purchased version of Fl Studio and the cracked plugins all work.

Force-scan your instrument plugin if it was added to your DAW's blacklist
In FL Studio, go to Options -> Manage plugins. Activate “Rescan plugins with errors” within the Scan Options, then click “Find more plugins”.

 

I forgot. Whatever you decide to do, remember that once you buy FL Studio there is no backing out of that decision. You cannot license transfer it, or resell it. Some people try it, and it seems like a dice roll with your money because they will ban your account if they figure it out.
