Just .WAV files, but really good sounds, punchy, rock style.

Too subjective, especially without even an indication of what sound you might like. You don't have to download gigs of stuff looking for sounds, just visit developer websites and audition them there.

True. Well, it should be. But the reality of the scenario is that usually the user will download whatever samples, and then compare them in their own mix with other contemporary tracks in the rock genre, and realize the samples (or their mixing) are woefully inadequate when compared with the results of recording a real drummer in a real studio, and that everyone else has figured that out and are using either Superior Drummer or Kontakt. Or at least EzDrummer or Addictive Drums. Some little sample pack like that is going to be the production equivalent of showing up to a gun fight with a plastic butter knife.

 

I've just sent you a link to my collection of my snare drums. 321 samples, all .WAV. My genre is mainly metal, so I hope that there's something in what I've sent that you can work with. 175 MB folder size.

I figured I'd may as well upload all of my drum samples. They are divided into specific categories, all in .WAV. 1.02 GB, 1,437 files, 150 folders.

I've not bothered compressing to a .RAR file for the sake of someone not having WinRaR, which, let's face it, we all, do, but I want to keep them accessible for everyone.

No problem, thank you very much! Unfortunately, the free version of mediafire does not allow you to "bulk-download multiple files and folders", you can only download them one by one, which is quite annoying, but there it is.

 

Oh, Okay. I didn't know that. I'll reupload elsewhere and share the link? Is Google drive okay? I barely upload stuff, so I don't know what is the best site to use. If you could point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate that, and I'll bookmark it for next time I upload anything.

(Unfortunately, mediafire - at least I couldn't find any other solution - only lets you download individual files by selecting them. So you can't even download a subdirectory at once with the free version. So if you have 50 snare samples in total, that's 50 separate downloads.)

I didn't know that mediafire worked that way, and yeah, 50 separate downloads is crazy! There's no way that I'd do that, especially if out of those 50 downloads, none of them fit to what you want. Yeah, not for me.
